Riley's first hunting season - German Shorthaired Pointer Hunting Dog Pictures Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer From: Linda Ewen Website: http://www.fentonriver.com Posted: Apr 13, 2009 Pictured is Fenton River Life of Riley (www.fentonriver.com) or Riley as he’s known. He’s a six month old GSP and on a cool, 29 degree morning last fall he was responsible for the water retrieves of four geese and one wood duck bagged by two hunters over a large beaver meadow bordered by open fields. One of the goose retrieves was at least 45 yards across the water and another goose he couldn’t quite drag on shore since it was bigger than him. Also during last fall, he had numerous points and retrieves with woodcock and a couple grouse retrieves. This outgoing quick learner, owned by Bob Brisard, is going to be at the Sebasticook Chapter of NAVHDA’s spring test for his Natural Ability test. By Charles Tappan |
