Catahoula Bulldog Hunting Dogs and Puppies for sale

The Catahoula Leopard Dog (also Catahoula Cur) is an American dog breed named after Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. it became the state dog of Louisiana in 1979. The breed is sometimes mistakenly referred to as a cur, “Catahoula hound”, or “leopard hound” because of its spots. The dog is none of these, and has been recognized as an official breed by the United Kennel Club (UKC) under the name Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, and Catahoula Leopard Dog in the American Kennel Club (AKC) Foundation Stock Service. Both registries have assigned the breed a Herding group designation. Another name occasionally used is Catahoula hog dog, which reflects its traditional use in hunting feral boars.
