Bonasa Flats’ Boondocks Bandit (“Gage”) posted a maximum score 112 points, Prize I in the NAVHDA Natural Ability Test on August 22, 2009 at the Kettle Moraine Chapter test held near Lomira, WI. Gage is proudly owned, trained, and handled by Mike Kriefski of Oregon, WI. In late May of this year, Gage suffered a broken front leg during a training session just a week before he was scheduled to take the Natural Ability Test. After emergency orthopedic surgery and 12 weeks of rehabilitation, Gage has rebounded extremely well. Before breaking his leg, Gage also earned 3 legs toward his AKC Junior Hunter title – which he will finish later this year. He was whelped April 22, 2008 and is the product of a very nice breeding between VC Neenah Creek’s Autumn Boon and Krystal Creek’s Ring My Belle SH. Gage is the fifth pup out of his litter to pass the NAVHDA Natural Ability Test this year and the third to post a maximum score. The proud owners of Bonasa Flats Kennels – John Voight, Julie Mommaerts and Brian Blanke – send heartfelt congratulations to Mike and Gage for their incredible perseverance and their accomplishment in the face of some very tough circumstances! See http://www.kriefski.com for details about Gage’s injury and recovery. For more information on Bonasa Flats’ versatile and proven (and TOUGH!) bird dogs, see www.BonasaFlats.com.
