German Wirehaired Pointer litter announcements! - German Wirehaired Pointers in Emmett, Idaho - Blue Sage Gun Dogs

We are currently taking deposits and reservations for 2 Spring of 2013 litters.  Our top females "Elka" and "Ringo" have excelled through NAVDHA and VHDF systems, but most importantly are bred and proven to hunt wild birds.  Great dispositions combined with tremendous talent and desire in the field and water.

Elka: is a beautiful liver and roan medium dense coated female with furnishings that weighs roughly 60 pounds.   Elka is a power dog that hits the field and water with reckless abandonment.   She has as much desire and intensity as any bird dog out there.  She is at home in the blind retrieving ducks and geese or in the rocky hells canyon cliff country chasing chuckars.  She has the 3rd highest score in history in the VHDF Advanced Aptitude test scoring an astonishing 188 points.  She is a proven dam and has produced some very nice bird dogs that we continue to get good feedback on out of her previous litters.

Ringo:  Ringo is a gorgeous liver and roan female with medium dense coat and furnishings weighing 56 pounds.  She is one of those "once in a lifetime" hunting dogs.  She has a true  ON/OFF switch.  She has literally helped raise our 17 month old daughter and is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever been around.  At our most recent vet visit he obsessed over how sweet demeanored and biddable she was.  He's not a "Wirehair" guy, but he was asking about buying  puppies out of her by the time he was done evaluating her.

Dont let her sweet personality fool you though as she loves to hunt and hits the field with a ton of intensity.  She scored 112 prize I in her Navdha NA test and a 67 in her VHDF Hunting Aptitude Evaluation.  She has an intense point and is a great dog to kill a ton of birds behind.
