When our dog passed away, we began looking into Brittany breeders near us. Terry was great to work with from the start - answering my millions of questions, showing us the kennels and letting us meet his dogs, and just great communication all around. He obviously takes great pride in his pack and cares about the health of his litters. I highly recommend Terry and his pack!

We got our first Brittany, Gracie, in 2006 from a breeder in northern Grant County, about half an hour south of our home in Wabash County. She was a much loved family pet. We lost her to cancer in January of 2019. It took us over a year to start talking about getting another Brittany. I started looking for breeders (the previous ones were no longer breeding), thinking we would have to look in southern Indiana, Michigan, Illinois or Ohio. I stumbled on Terry and Turkey Creek by accident. Warsaw is not even 45 minutes away to the north. I contacted Terry on Facebook and he told me that he had a current litter, but they were all spoken for. He invited us to come up and see the puppies before they went to their homes, as well as see his operation. We went up for a visit and really enjoyed it. He was very friendly, happy to answer any questions we had, we played with the puppies and met all the dogs in his kennel. He had a very nice set up. So, we put our names in for the next litter. He did tell us that he would be giving his female a heat off, and they would be hunting. We were impressed by this as well. He’s not a “backyard breeder”, who breeds as quickly as he can to sell more puppies. He cares about the bloodlines. We kept in touch by email, so we knew when Kate went into heat. The puppies were born in March, and he invited us to come up anytime and see them. We went up and saw them when they were just a few weeks old. We went up again a few weeks later to make our choice, and brought her home May 7th. Izzy turned one on March 21st. She is Brittany through and through. Smart, stubborn, ornery, loves people, loves to play, is obsessed with birds and balls, likes walks and loves the dog park. She is also a family pet, we don’t hunt her, but she has pointed birds since she was little. She is petite, staying in the 33/34 pound range, which we love as well. We highly recommend Terry and Turkey Creek Kennels.

Terry was one of the first people that we contacted when we were looking for a Brittany. Terry is a very open and honest person. Even though we had to wait over a year to get our pup. He invited us up to check out his kennels, went up than and after he had a litter, not our pups litter. Got to know Terry after several phone calls and a few visit waiting on our litter, very good person. We could not be more happier that we decided to wait a year for our pup, such a sweet and loving girl. Even though we don’t hunt her, we do take her out and let her run, and she is training herself, just a few weeks ago she pointed and flushed her first pheasant. Have to say her natural instincts almost makes me feel bad that I don’t hunt her. I would definitely recommend Terry and Turkey Creek Kennels to anyone looking for a Brittany rather your hunting or just looking for a great companion

Dahnya Geary Chop recommends Turkey Creek Kennels - Indiana - American Brittany's. I was not easily convinced to bring a dog into our family. We had been without a pet since August of 2017, and I had grown accustomed to life without the responsibilities of a pet. During quarantine, my kids and husband outnumbered me, and we were fortunate find that Turkey Creek Kennels had a litter on the way. I contacted Terry right away and put in our request to have a girl puppy. During the process, Terry constantly kept us updated and answered our questions, making it an easy transition to add Reesie to our family. Everyone fell in love with her right away. She is friendly, loving, intelligent and above all, the best-behaved dog that I have ever owned. Terry picked out the perfect little girl for our family and we couldn't be happier!

I picked up Tag from Turkey Creek Kennels, owned by Terry Stutzman, three years ago this coming July. He was part of the Pence and Roxie litter. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by Terry's operation. The kennel was clean, and it was evident that the dogs were well taken care of. I was looking for a bird dog, not a show dog, and Terry's Brittanys are perfect for hunting. Terry is honest, trustworthy, and dedicated to his dogs. Tag has been a fantastic addition to our family of five. He is wonderful with the kids, has an off switch in the house, and turns it on in the field. Training him in basic obedience commands like "whoa," recall, heel, and kennel was straightforward. Tag's prey drive is incredible! Over the past two seasons, we've hunted ruffed grouse, woodcock, sharptails, wild roosters, and bobwhite quail together. I highly recommend Terry and Turkey Creek Kennels to anyone looking for a bird dog, especially a Brittany.

Scott Cole recommends Turkey Creek Kennels - Indiana - American Brittany's. I bought Waylon just over two years ago now. He is an outstanding dog. He has a great temperament. He is very friendly. He was easily crate trained and was house trained quickly. You can tell he is very intelligent and confident. So he is an excellent companion. Waylon also has an excellent nose. We went out hunting some last year but he was still a puppy. He was bumping birds but finding them. This year the switch flipped and he began making great points on birds. We went Woodcock hunting many times and he pointed many. Likewise, he did really well on pheasants. He was very steady on point. Waylon also is good about hunting close and maintains contact with me. All around, he is a great dog and companion.

I received my first Brittany more than 40 years ago, as a Christmas present. The breed quickly became my favorite and I had 6 Brittanies before meeting Terry in 2020. I love that Brittanies are friendly, get along well with other dogs and respond well to positive reinforcement training. My last Brittany had recently died and I was searching online for breeders in Indiana. (Covid pandemic precautions had recently been implemented). I came upon Terry’s Facebook page and contacted him to see if he had any available pups. After speaking by phone about his kennels and my experience with Brittanies, I went to visit his kennels and meet his pack. The dogs were all friendly and energetic and Terry welcomed us into his home to see his videos of recent hunts and discuss his breeding philosophy and how he trained his hunting dogs. We met Kate on that first visit and she was to have a litter in the coming months. I put down a deposit and then after the pups were born, we visited a couple times to see them and then to choose my new pup, Scout. We picked her up when she was about 8 weeks old. She has been a wonderful dog and is now 4 ½ years old. She is gregarious and loves meeting people, very smart and a healthy girl. When we met Terry and the pack that first time, I mentioned that I would be interested in a older dog too, and asked if he every placed dogs that retired from breeding and hunting. Terry said he would keep me in mind if that came up in the future. In early 2023, he contacted me to see if I would be interested in acquiring Kate, Scout’s mom. She was 7 years old and would be retired from breeding. She had been his best hunter, and I sensed he was struggling with his decision to let her go. It was obvious they were close. Eventually, we were able to add Kate to our home. She is now 9 years old and has been such a sweet girl! She had not been a house dog, but quickly adapted. I remember Terry telling me “Kate doesn’t play with toys.” Well, she does now. Mother and daughter enjoy playing together. Both are also good travelers and routinely join us on vacation car trips. Brittanies are high energy dogs and need daily exercise and activities. My motto is “a tired dog is a well behaved dog.” We walk daily and they have a fenced yard to run in too.

I've had a relationship with Terry Stutzman since the early 1990’s. During that time, I have learned of his passion for hunting and great dogs. Whatever Terry does, he strives to produce the best results. His breeding efforts with the Brittany dogs allow me to have a pleasurable hunt with plenty of shooting. His dogs are good at search, locate, and holding point until Terry releases them. I am impressed with the dogs' desire to recover the birds and retrieve them to Terry.

I have known Terry and hunted with him and his dogs for 3 years. My dog, Hunter, is out of his line of Jack and Ginger. After professional training, he has become a top notch bird dog and a family pet. I look forward to hunting trips with him.

I have known Terry Stutzman for many years. As a result, I have had the privilege and opportunity to not only hunt with this experienced sportsman but also visit in his home and kennel.
Terry is a perfectionist when it comes to his kennel of Brittanys. The love and devotion for their bloodlines, wellbeing and training have produced dogs of exceptional quality and skill.
On numerous occasions I have had the opportunity to hunt over Terry's dogs. Their ability to not only sniff out birds but also to hold, fetch and retrieve are beautiful simply to watch whether they are hunting individually or in a group.
If you are looking for a quality dog from a quality trainer and hunter, I would highly recommend Terry Stutzman.

I personally have been involved in the upland game preserve hunting industry for over 40 years and have seen countless number of dogs on our hunting property
in my opinion, the most important aspect of a great hunting dog is the drive to hunt
That is what you will see with Terry's dogs
Along with a great temperment and the desire to please their handler you will find them easy to train for hunter and family
If you're looking for an excellent hunter and companion, I urge you to check them out
