Sierra and Alex are great. I was able to get such a great dog. Being a first time dog owner, they sent great learning material to train and still will answer questions I have on dog training 3 years later. My dog Levi is a great dog with great personality. Couldn’t recommend more!

We traveled from Nassau County, Florida to Nosam Kennels to pick up our new family member, Otis on November 18th. 2022. We were amazed with the care and love shown to all the pups waiting to be picked up. All needed paperwork and vet info was ready and we were given instructions on care and training. Our first vet appointment was 11/21/22. the vet was amazed at Otis's health and his high level of socialization. Our experience with Nosam Kennels was a TEN! I sent my 2 family pets and got back bird dogs. They went through the intro to birds,and gundog level 1 bird dog training. They treated my girls like their own. Let me come out and work with them while they were in there and kept me updated with pictures and videos. I can't wait to get iut this season and hunt with them. I will send them back for level 2 next year.

I can't say enough about the breeding program at Nosam Kennels, and the great job Sierra and Alex have done finding us our two dogs. We have an about to be 3 year old Vizsla, Baker, and a 3 1/2 month old GSP, Mika.  While Nosam is known for it's hunting pedigree's, they also have great quality pet dogs, which is what our two dogs are.  They have the best temperament and personalities we could ask for, and are just the greatest dogs. if you're looking for a hunting or pet quality dog, you need to talk with Sierra about her program, and all the time and effort they put into it, as they clearly want what is best for their clients, and we couldn't be happier with our two Nosam dogs.

We received an adorable German Shorthaired Pointer female (Jette) from NOSAM Kennels at 8 weeks of age. We did a lot of research on many various kennels and breeds. Note that our entire family are long distance runners so we were looking for a breed that could accompany us on our runs (once they hit 2 years of age).

Jette impresses us every day with her increasing athletic abilities - even now at 14 weeks. She's extremely affectionate, loves training, looks forward to all exercise, and learns very fast. We're quite impressed that she is already fully house trained and sleeps through the night. Absolutely everyone that meets her loves her. And she wants to please us.

From our breeder research, there were a lot of GSPs that we felt did not have the best of breed appearance that we were expecting. NOSAM seems to have a passion for breeding the best GSP possible. Sierra spent an hour with us on the phone explaining her goals and answering all our questions. We left that call knowing NOSAM would be our breeder and confident we would get the GSP that we had been searching for so long.

During the 8 weeks post birth that we were waiting for our Jette, NOSAM sent us a ton of background information on marker training, typical medical insights, recommended puppy supplies, and so much more. We're also not new to dog ownership as we've had 3 dogs before this one but her insights were a revelation. We only wish we had these insights with our first puppy.

Lastly, since we've been out socializing our new puppy (recommended), we've been surprised by the number of GSP owners who all mention that since they discovered the breed, they could not imagine owning anything else. We are now firmly in their camp.

The first 3 words AKC uses to describe the Vizsla are: Affectionate, Energetic, Gentle! Nosam's dogs are bred to exemplify these traits. Nosam's breed the Versatile Vizsla for all functions and still be the best family pet ever. As an obedience trainer and behaviorist, I was fortunate to train one of their offspring and could see the wonderful temperament, form and function this dog could offer. So much so, I wanted one for myself! Not only am I equally as pleased with my bitch in her early training and development, she is headed for AKC Obedience, Rally & Tracking trials. The more she does, the more she wants to do and please. Search out a breeder that breeds to improve the breed not multiply dogs, and you will be lucky to get a Nosam dog!

We are so lucky to have our pup, Lady Jo, from Nosam! Jo is the center of our family, sweet, curious, devoted, and so much fun! She is an amazing dog. She has all the Vizsla traits and personality to spare! Everyone who meets Jo falls in love :). There's not a day that goes by that we don't feel extremely lucky to have our Lady Jo. We have had such a great experience with Sierra and Nosam kennels. We got the best Vizsla ever from them. I've always had Boxers, I never thought I'd own any other breed. When I lost my last Boxer at the age of 6, I knew it was time to try my "back up breed". As a vet tech for many years, I always enjoyed having Vizslas come in, I fell in love with them and told myself if I ever got something other than a Boxer, it would be a Vizsla.

Living in the city I only saw city Vizslas, none of them hunted, but they were all extremely athletic and loving, and great dogs to work on in the hospital.

I wanted a breed similar to the Boxer with their high energy, love for their person and able to keep up with me as well.

When I lost my Boxer I was heart broken and I started looking for my next dog. Coming from the vet world good HEALTHY lines is what mattered to me. I didn't care where I had to travel to, how much I had to pay, I just wanted a puppy from good, health tested lines. I looked at breeders all over the US and Canada for a Vizsla and I came across a few breeders I believed bred for the right reasons.

I emailed NoSam Kennels and I was able to get on a list for a male, which is the sex I really wanted.

Sierra always answered my questions I had, especially since I wanted to get into hunting and that's something I have never done before so I had a lot of questions!

When I picked my pup up, Zion, I was able to meet his mom and dad which was amazing. I always had rescue dogs so being able to meet the two dogs that made my boy was a special moment.

Coming from the vet world I met a lot of puppies that came in for their typical puppy exams. Zion has had to be one of the BEST well socialized puppies I've met. NoSam did an AMAZING job at getting Zion started, exposing him to all the right stuff and making him a wonderful puppy!

I was nervous to let a total stranger pick a puppy for me, but Sierra did the perfect job. As someone who has had cancer twice and 2 heart issues, Zion will be my 3rd Service Dog to help with my day to day living. Training a Service Dog takes a lot of training and time and I'm shocked how well Zion is coming along, he's almost 7 months old and I'm comfortable enough to use him as a service dog now, he's that smart, well behaved and in tune with me which I credit to all the hard work Sierra puts in to raising her puppies.

I'm so excited to start hunting with Zion and travel the world with him. He's one amazing dog!

After years of research on Vizslas I was finally ready to move forward buying a pup after having to put my current dog down. I reached out to Nosam Kennels who spoke with me for nearly an hour providing detailed information for me to consider in deciding on where to purchase my pup. They explained to me that for most reputable breeders I would need to go on a waiting list. But after doing some google searching I found a breeder that had a pup available immediately. So I guess it’s human nature to get what we want now. As it turned out this was a back yard breeder who had no experience in breeding Vizslas. After the first few hours after receiving the pup I knew something was wrong. He was beyond just being shy. He was fearful of his own shadow. After all the research I had done on Vizslas the behavior he was displaying wasn’t in line with the breed standard. After five days I had to return him back to the breeder. I was heartbroken. I immediately reached back out to Nosam Kennels explaining what happened and I immediately put down a deposit and went on their waiting list. Fast forward a few months and now I have my Vizsla pup and I couldn’t be more satisfied. This pup is everything I could have ever hoped for. Sierra Combs with Nosam has been here every step of the way. The temperament of my pup is exactly what I requested when I filled out the application. He’s confident, smart and so trainable. Sierra does amazing things with the dogs given to her. She had my 6 month old lab with minimal field training for six weeks. During that time, Sierra trained well enough to qualify for amature field trials. My dog consistantly follows field commands for retrieving ducks and was introduced to upland training. I could not be happier. I plan to send my dog back for follow-on training in the spring.

My finance and I are the proud owners of a 3 month old Nosam Kennels Vizsla puppy named Cairo.

After doing extensive online research, I landed on Nosam Kennels in West Virginia. While I could have chosen a breeder much closer to home, thankfully, I was drawn to them. The educational materials provided on their website made it evident from the beginning how much they truly care about their individual dogs and bloodlines. After I was officially placed on a waiting list, Sierra and Alex (owners) sent numerous email, photo and video updates over the course of the next few months. While I am still not quite sure how they manage this time consuming feat while rearing litters of puppies, this continued until we picked our pup up at 10 weeks of age. The reading material helped us to prepare for the new pup and ensure success in training. It was and still is priceless to say the least. Sierra also responded to my (many!) emailed questions with patience and professionalism.

In my opinion, the price Alex and Sierra charge for their pups is beyond fair. When considering the amount of time, energy and love they invest in breeding, rearing and training the puppies, I feel they could charge much more. They are truly unique in their approach and you should consider yourself lucky should you be placed on one of their wait lists. The foundation they instilled in Cairo was evident from DAY ONE and impressive to say the very least. (Every new person he meets expresses the same sentiment!) Not only is he gorgeous but he is also a well mannered and well tempered, sweet, highly intelligent and biddable pup. I cannot thank them enough...

I highly recommend selecting Sierra and Alex of Nosam Kennels as your Vizsla or Weimaraner breeder. They are fair, respectful, accommodating and professional. I did a years worth of research in finding a reputable breeder. I am so glad that I didn’t buy the first thing that came around or I wouldn’t have a dog like mine. Sierra was beyond knowledgeable and helpful and replied immediately, even if it was something “silly” I needed clarified before and after purchasing a dog. Now my pup is 9 mo old and had his first win at a field trial, 2 passes towards his JH and 2/3 legs for his beginner novice obedience title! Without Sierra’s help guidance and encouragement I don’t think we would be as far as we are. She produces great gun dogs with a brain and velcro personality that fits into your family. If you choose another breeder you will be missing out on all that NoSam’s has to offer!

I love Sierra and NoSam Kennels. I got a Vizsla female (now 8 months) from NoSam. It’s not just the puppy (that is awesome), it’s the education I received before putting a deposit down and still now in support of raising my Pup. I have never had a dog (as an adult), and needed to ask many questions and probably will do in to the future but Sierra is always happy to offer a non judge mental view. This is clearly a team that love what they do and strive to do better. She never sits on her laurels and continues to educate herself.
