I obtained a puppy from Mike and Sally this summer and have been extremely pleased ever since. The Simms made the whole process exceedingly pleasant and I would not hesitate to obtain another puppy from them in the future. I could not be happier with my puppy. He is healthy, energetic and everything a GSP is supposed to be.

Mike and Sally are just wonderful people. We were referred to Mike and Sally by a friend who had gotten a puppy from them years ago. I reached out to Sally about a puppy, told her exactly what we wanted and they had us a puppy with their next litter. Once we knew what puppy we were getting Sally always sent pictures and videos regularly until we picked her up. The puppy was a gift to our daughter and they had her ready with a bow at pick up to surprise her. We have stayed in touch with them since getting our puppy and they stay responsive. They have been great to work with and always willing to give advice. We love our little GSP we got from them.

Mike and Sally have been wonderful to work with. My husband has been deployed for 9 months, during that time we lost his dog due to old age. He has always wanted a GSP so I started looking for breeders that might have a litter around his return date. When I told Sally what I was looking for she was totally on board with helping us find the perfect puppy. As luck would have it they had a litter born in August that was ready this past weekend. She sent me pictures and videos over the course we were waiting on her to be weaned. I picked my husband up on Saturday in Jacksonville. Mike and Sally made a 3 hour trip to Lake City on Sunday to meet us and we picked up our sweet Birdie on the way home. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect timing or 2 nicer people to work with! They really went out of their way for us and I can't say enough good things about them.

Sally and Mike are absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed the adoption process and it was amazing to visit them multiple times to meet my puppy. They are wonderful people and treat their gsps as family. Sally would send me constant updates, countless photos and would regularly communicate with me about my puppies progress. Mike and Sally were wonderful from day 1. They are passionate and loving GSP breeders who have been breeding for over a decade. They really take care with explaining everything and providing us with all info needed. Would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a beautiful GSP pup. This was our second pup. We have a 5-year-old male GSP (from another breeder) and we got a female pup from Mike and Sally. She is just as they described her: a doll but holds her own.

My wife and I loved the experience. We got updates from the time we picked out our puppy until we picked him up. We got pictures and messages the entire time which made the 8 weeks a lot easier to get through. Our puppy Duke is incredibly smart and picks up on all of our training and loves his days relaxing at home. We had the absolute best experience with Mike and Sally Sims! We got our Delta in early April, and she is the most beautiful puppy! We met with Mike and Sally in late December, and their place is very clean and not at all like a typical puppy mill. Their dogs are well cared for and loved very much! After the puppies were born, we received weekly pictures and videos which made us all so excited to meet our puppy! You could tell that the puppies were well cared for! Once it was time to get Delta, the Sims were so helpful in organizing pick up. They provided us with a folder full of info with everything we needed. Delta was perfect when we got her! The Sims have been available for any questions we have even after having Delta in our home. All in all, you will not find a better breeder! It has been a wonderful experience!

We got our girl from Mike and Sally and can not say enough amazing things about them and their dogs. After looking around for some time we chose to get a pup from rocky creek kennel and needless to say this was no mistake. Mike and Sally are real, honest, and down-to-earth breeders. Mike & Sally were great!! So happy I found them here. We got our boy “Blitz” in early October and he has been a great addition to our family. They have beautiful dogs, perfect representations of the breed. Incredibly our puppy has a strong retrieving drive without having started training, and it’s so cool to see him naturally in point. They’re such a pleasure to watch running around. Very High energy so be aware of that, but that’s what you get in a GSP. As for RCK, they were great throughout the process. From first contact to the day we picked our puppy up, clear communication, expectations exceeded along the way. Sally sent me pictures and videos all along to see our puppy’s progress. Now that’s changed to ME send her the same now that Blitz is home with us. I suspect I’ll be in contact with them a long time (already thinking when we will be adding to our family again ;) )

Overall very happy. RCK is not some gross puppy mill. They are a nice family, living in the country, sharing their love for these beautiful dogs. It was obvious the breeding program is a family effort, even the young kids were involved and helping socialize the puppies. Another thing with them..... they were reasonably priced. Some breeders out there are charging ridiculous $$ for a puppy. RCK’s pricing was realistic and appreciated. Ultimately we’re looking for a lifelong pet, but I wasn’t looking to go into debt finding a nice dog from a respectable breeder. We found exactly what we were looking for in RCK. Blitz is a handsome, healthy little puppy who has obvious tendencies of a good blood line. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back to RCK in the future.

It is difficult to put into words how blessed we are to have met Rick and Sally at Rocky Creek. We got our first GSP puppy from them 4 years ago and it has completely changed our lives. We picked up a little boy (Chief) from them and he has been nothing, but the best since the day we got him. I recently picked up “Daisy Mae” from Mike and Sally and took her home to our family. Daisy is a very quick learner and is very good with our 5 year old boy. Daisy was remarkably fetching a toy within her first week. She comes now almost always and soon we will work on other commands. She loves to play around the house, running with the wife, and out walking in the woods with me. You can tell her parents are hunters and very smart dogs. Daisy definitely has the hunting instinct in her genes and I hope I can turn her into the bird dog that she can be. But she will definitely be our young sons companion and that is already evident.

Mike and Sally were wonderful to deal with throughout the whole process. They answered all questions we had and always sent us pictures and updates on daisy as she was growing. When I went and picked up daisy both Mike and Sally were very helpful with questions and even tips for training. I was able to meet all of her brother and sisters and her parents. Mike even showed out a little in showing me how they obeyed his hunting commands. I could tell he has worked with bird dogs for many years and they are a part of his life.

We picked up "Jep" this past Friday, it is very obvious that Mike and Sally love their dogs and pups and are most accommodating to new owners. Hoping that this new pup will be the only GSP that I will need for a long time, but if I were to need another, they'd be the first ones I would call.

This breeder is awesome! Got my GSHP from them a week ago and they were awesome to deal with. Very friendly and kind. If you are looking for a GSHP, they are the ones you need to talk to!

So my friend actually found RCK through Craigslist on a Friday and I called Mike on Monday to save a puppy for me. He had ten listed online and only four left by the time we spoke. I drove to Marianna and he introduced me to all the pups, that's when I picked out Sal. She's a great little dog and I couldn't ask for a better personality. Sals only 13.5 weeks old now, and she loves to be praised. She's really responsive and is already learning to sit, retrieve (if she doesn't get distracted), and she points here and there naturally. I'm excited to see her mature and what all she's capable in the woods. No doubt I would recommend a friend or purchase another puppy from Mike and Sally, they take extremely good care of all of their animals from what I saw.

We purchased our pup, Maggie May on May 11, 2018. She is a wonderful addition to our family at a little over 8 weeks. In October of 2016 we purchased Clyde from Mr. Mike and Sally Sims. My father and I have always looked forward to hunting over a GSP and the dream finally came true. Mike and Sally were more than accommodating when it came to making arrangements to pick Clyde up and he was everything they said he would be. We wanted to write a review just based on the great experience we had while getting Clyde, but we waited to see how he trained and hunted first.
Fast forward to today we have trained Clyde to recall, woah, sit, stay, and retreive he is also trained to respond to a whistle and an e-collar among other commands related to hunting. They are clearly breeding a quality dog, his intelligence level is beyond what we were expecting it to be. His drive to hunt birds is astounding. We live in South Florida and frequently hunt Doves, Ducks, Snipe, and Quail. Clyde does exceptionally well with pointing and retrieving all of the bird species mentioned. Clyde has the most endurance I've seen out of any dog I have been afield with. On a cool day in the snipe fields he will hunt at a high pace for 3-4 hours, weighing in at 55 lbs he was bred to be a quality athlete; Aside from his high octane performance his shape, size, and muscular definition also proves this to be true.
Furthermore, throughout the training process Mr. Sims has been extremely helpful with any questions we have had regarding training pointers (we've only owned labs previously).
Over a year later and many hunts already in the books we could not be happier with the quality of the dogs Mr. and Mrs. Sims are producing. I would recommend anybody that was interested in purchasing a GSP to contact Mr. Mike and Sally Sims at Rocky Creek Kennels.

Well- we did it again! Last October Sadie joined our family (our first GSP) and what a year it has been! She has been such a blessing to our family and we wanted her to have a companion! We reached out to Mike and Sally again, and Bristol joined our family two weeks ago! This experience was just as good if not better than the first one. They kept us up-to-date when Sugar was expecting, sent pictures as soon as they were born, and updated us until we picked her up! Mike and Sally are wonderful people and we are glad to call them our friends. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a GSP! Where do I even begin? We had the BEST experience purchasing our GSP puppy from Mike and Sally. I contacted RC Kennels through email and the same day they returned my email and even sent me pictures of the pups they had available to my cell phone. Being that I am an ER nurse in Tallahassee with a very busy schedule, they did everything that they could to work around my schedule to come visit the puppies. We went the very next day because we knew that these were the breeders we wanted to purchase from. When we arrived, they brought us into their home as if we had known them our whole lives. Mike was kind enough to show us the parents of our puppy and what they could do. We were amazed at the intelligence and skill his dogs had, and were excited for the future that we have with our puppy. They are extremely honest, fair and trustworthy breeders! You will get everything that they guarantee you. Our puppy has beautiful markings, he has such a calm personality and has acclimated to our home with ease. Already we can tell he is very smart and LOVES to be praised. We are so very happy with our purchase and are looking forward to hunting and loving our puppy for his entire life. We hope to purchase from Mike and Sally in the future!

We had the best experience buying our 8 wk old GSP *Scout* from Mike and Sally. They answered any questions we had and sent us pictures as we asked for them when we were in the waiting stage. Our pup was (and still is) clean and healthy and plays great with our 4 year old. No doubt we would buy from them again.

My son bought a pup from Mr. Sims in July of this year 2016, he's been everything Mr. Sims represented him to be and then some. He is very intelligent and loves to retrieve, he also has great conformation and good coloring. I loved every second of the time I was waiting on my GSP because it was so interactive, the good friendly experience from these people was like coming home and having your family greet you, from the time I found my puppy they were sending pictures and answering all of my questions, rocky creek kennel and preserve really knows what they are doing so if you are looking for a gsp look no further!

I am not sure that there would be enough space for me to tell you what an amazing experience we had with Mike and Sally at Rocky Creek Kennel and Preserve. My husband was doing some research on German Short Hairs and came across their website. He got in touch with Mike and Sally. After several phone calls and text messages we made the decision to get a puppy from them (we could already tell). They kept us up to date through Katie's pregnancy and called right after they were born. We drove from Minneola to Marianna the weekend after they were born. It was well worth the 4.5 hour drive! After spending an hour or so with Mike and Sally, we knew we had made the right decision! As their grandson would say, "you have the "grunt" puppy. Sally explained how she was sure our chosen puppy was getting everything she needed to compete with the larger pups. In the 7 weeks in between our first trip and picking up Sadie, they sent updates, pictures, and answered my ridiculous amount of text messages! We have only had her home with us 3 days but can tell she is very intelligent already. She has even pointed in our yard! We would HIGH RECOMMEND Mike and Sally to anyone that asked! I wouldn't be surprised if we get our Sadie a sister from them at some point!

One month since I got my dog from Mike at Rocky Creek..We made a great choice even though it wasn't easy, we had to drive from Miami to go get our dog .Mike was real informative about the dogs and giving us helpful hint he took his time with us..Our dog Kaia is great (KaiaGSP on Instagram) even at 9wks you can spot her little hunting traits , Like standing there watching the duck across the street not moving. Pretty dogs are a dime a dozen, but if you are looking for a dog that will hunt, you want to go to Rocky Creek! Mikes dogs are hunted and trained throughout the year, and that time spent in the field shows up in the pups in ways that we are unable to teach them. We couldn't be happier with our puppy, he must have been born housebroke, and obedience training has been a breeze so far!

have two gsp's from mr mike. Could not say anything bad about or experience. Great man to deal with beautiful pups. Very smart and well bred. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a gun dog or a companion give him a shout. You will not be disappointed.

We got our GSP from Mike 2 1/2 years ago, and are very glad that we did! He has turned out to be the best dog I have ever owned, in regards to hunting drive, temperament and just all around family dog! I could tell right away that he breeds German Shorthaired pointers because of his love for the breed. We are seriously thinking about adding another puppy from Rocky Creek Kennel to our household next spring.

Our GSP from Rocky Creek is super. He is smart, gentle, learning so fast is unreal. Adapted to the grandkids right away. Mike Sims is a very good source of information on these dogs and how to train them. His kennel is perfect for the hunting dogs-he was very kind and very helpful when we traveled to get the puppy. Since then he has answered questions and given advice that is right on target. We are now hoping for another puppy from his litters. Highly recommend him and his dogs. Parents are present which is great too.

Picked up our puppy yesterday at Rocky Creek Kennel-WOW!! Met Mike, big clean kennels, happy dogs, great setup. We spent time with the father who is phenomenal(gotta see to believe-pictures don't tell it all), gentle and friendly. Same for mom-who is beautiful and super mother. Mike kindly babysat for us so we could get some dog supplies and a meal in town-then he went over every detail and answered all our questions(lots of them)-he KNOWS DOGS. He knows hunting as well as training and puppy care. Listen to him! Glad we did. The puppy is another WOW!! He even pointed a couple of times already-he is calm, serious, loving, BEAUTIFUL and easy to teach. He walked about 1/4 mile this a.m. and enjoyed it as much as we did-very well acclimated, and sleeping well too. All night, not a sound from him-ready to go this a.m. Our first GSP-good times ahead.
So everything Mike told us was spot on-we are even thinking a second dog from him-no one else.
Mike has offered any help we may need and to call him for any info raising and training our puppy. We aren't new to hunting dogs, but always ready to listen to a pro like Mike.

My wife and I discussed getting a puppy for several months before going to rocky creek kennels. My cousin purchased a dog from there and we fell in love with him. When we got to the kennel I immediately gravitated towards one of the male puppies I had seen in pictures Mr. Mike had sent. My wife and daughters however found a female that they really loved! Needless to say we ended up coming home with two puppies! We could not be happier with our decision to make our family bigger with puppies from this kennel. Mr. and Mrs. Sims are some of the nicest down to earth people you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. They treated us like family. Mr. Sims has been more than accommodating with any questions I've had and has been great to give advice with training. The puppies are wonderful. My two daughters play with them non stop and thanks to the "social integration" (grand-kids) the puppies get while at the kennel they are very patient and gentle with my daughters. All in all the experience we had with rocky creek kennels and the Sims' family was getting to meet some wonderful people and adding two amazing dogs to our family. The dogs are beautiful! We get compliments daily on how pretty our puppies are! When we took them to our vet he was amazed at what great looking GSP's these puppies are and was very impressed with everything about them. They have a true hunter's instinct, great natural posture, and point at everything they notice! We wish the Sims God's blessing in all that they do!

My family and I could not be happier with our GSP puppy from Rocky Creek Kennel. We have gotten so many compliments on his beautiful markings and his demeanor. But the best compliments came from the vet on how healthy and what great care had been given to him when we got him. I recommend Rocky Creek Kennel to anyone looking for a great GSP.

Buying a puppy from MIKE @ Rocky Creek was comfortable experience. Mike was prompt to return all my calls and answer my many questions.His facilities are very nice and his dogs appeared well cared for.when I'm ready for my next GSP he will be my first call.
