Rocky Creek Kennels raises German Shorthair Pointers from quality hunting stock. Being a small preserve and having many friends who enjoy hunting, our dogs have lots of opportunity to point and retrieve birds. We generally try to have two or three litters of puppies per year...always in the Spring and Summer, so we can hunt during the Fall and Winter! Our dogs are very easy to train and retrieve naturally.They love to hunt, but are also happy sitting in your lap, curled up watching TV! Even though our dogs are bred for hunting, they make excellent companions for your active family. We socialize our pups extensively and feel this gives them an early edge on bonding with their eventual families. This early attention and extra care as they grow is an integral and strong part of our program. We are both retired teachers and greatly enjoy the process of breeding, nurturing and placing a fine dog with a great family or individual. You are invited to come and visit with us and see our dogs and operation at any time. We are located in Marianna, FL, which is about 20 miles from Alabama or Georgia. Puppies are $700. They will have had their shots and been wormed. They have also had their tails docked and dew claws removed. I’ve been looking for a GSP puppy for years I came across Mr. Sims at Rocky Creek kennels online from the first message we had great communication they had one male left and he was just what I was looking for. He also had a few females I sent some pictures to my Brother Inlaw and he had to have one also. Mr. & Ms.Sims were excellent and the pups are healthy and happy I can’t wait to see how well they both do in the upcoming seasons. Over a 2 hour trip from Pensacola to Marianna but I will make that trip every time for the quality pups from Rocky Creek Kennels.

I picked up my GSP this summer from Rocky Creek Kennels and couldn’t have been more happier with my pup. Sally and Mike were an absolute pleasure working and communicating with during this process. This is my first time dealing with a breeder and it was great experience. I highly recommend their services and will look into obtaining another GSP in the future from them when the time comes.

I obtained a puppy from Mike and Sally this summer and have been extremely pleased ever since. The Simms made the whole process exceedingly pleasant and I would not hesitate to obtain another puppy from them in the future. I could not be happier with my puppy. He is healthy, energetic and everything a GSP is supposed to be.

Mike and Sally are just wonderful people. We purchased a pup from them about a year ago and we enjoyed the purchased and easement of the whole process that we decided to get our little dipstick a little sister that we named princess!!! We would purchase with Mike and Sally every time and if I can talk my husband into it we may purchase another in the future!!! Thank you Mike and Sally for doing this not for the money but for the enjoyment for people especially the children receiving your precious pups!!!

We were referred to Mike and Sally by a friend who had gotten a puppy from them years ago. I reached out to Sally about a puppy, told her exactly what we wanted and they had us a puppy with their next litter. Once we knew what puppy we were getting Sally always sent pictures and videos regularly until we picked her up. The puppy was a gift to our daughter and they had her ready with a bow at pick up to surprise her. We have stayed in touch with them since getting our puppy and they stay responsive. They have been great to work with and always willing to give advice. We love our little GSP we got from them.

Mike and Sally have been wonderful to work with. My husband has been deployed for 9 months, during that time we lost his dog due to old age. He has always wanted a GSP so I started looking for breeders that might have a litter around his return date. When I told Sally what I was looking for she was totally on board with helping us find the perfect puppy. As luck would have it they had a litter born in August that was ready this past weekend. She sent me pictures and videos over the course we were waiting on her to be weaned. I picked my husband up on Saturday in Jacksonville. Mike and Sally made a 3 hour trip to Lake City on Sunday to meet us and we picked up our sweet Birdie on the way home. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect timing or 2 nicer people to work with! They really went out of their way for us and I can't say enough good things about them.

Sally and Mike are absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed the adoption process and it was amazing to visit them multiple times to meet my puppy. They are wonderful people and treat their gsps as family. Sally would send me constant updates, countless photos and would regularly communicate with me about my puppies progress. If anyone is considering adopting they should look into Rocky Creek Kennels and I will for sure be back soon to add another member to the family. Thank you Sally and Mike!

Mike and Sally were wonderful from day 1. They are passionate and loving GSP breeders who have been breeding for over a decade. They really take care with explaining everything and providing us with all info needed. Would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a beautiful GSP pup. This was our second pup. We have a 5-year-old male GSP (from another breeder) and we got a female pup from Mike and Sally. She is just as they described her: a doll but holds her own.

My wife and I loved the experience. We got updates from the time we picked out our puppy until we picked him up. We got pictures and messages the entire time which made the 8 weeks a lot easier to get through. Our puppy Duke is incredibly smart and picks up on all of our training and loves his days relaxing at home. When we’re ready we will definitely be going back to rocky creek for our next hunting buddy. Loved the kennel and the family that runs it!

We love the way they were always sharing pictures of our pup from day 1 and was willing to meet us half way to pick him up. They don’t do it for the money but for the dog to go to a good home! They are priced very well and look forward to sending them pictures of our boy Dipstick!
