We got Elwood or Wirehaired Pointing Griffon from Todd at Mistie Acres in March of 19. After spending about an hour on the phone with Todd, who was always available for our bazillion questions, we knew we had picked the right breeder for our needs. Todd is extremely knowledgeable of the breed as well as Beagles. After our very good conversation we made the trip to Arkansas without hesitation to get our amazing pup. Todd took his time with us while we were picking him up and set Elwood all up for his long trip home. Elwood is s very healthy very active smart puppy. Here we are at almost 5 months old and Elwood knows his basic commands and is progressing well in leash training, even though i injured my hand and could not work with him for a couple months. And this dog loves the water!. He is a joy to have and his good breeding is obvious.
Thanks so much Todd for letting us get our Elwood!

If you are looking for a great all-around hunting and family dog the WPG is a great choice and Todd is a great choice for a breeder. We got a new pup from Todd in January of 2018 and our experience with her has been outstanding. Ellie is an exceptional family dog and her first-year hunting ducks in Arkansas was a success. Ellie is 17 months now and has turned out to be a great companion.

Our WPG puppy came from one of Todd’s litters at Mistie Acres 3 years ago. He is the most beautiful dog and such a wonderful addition to our family. Rambo is big, strong, healthy and loyal. We haven’t had a bit of trouble with him. Todd clearly loves his dogs and is passionate about them. They are well cared for and are raised in a healthy and safe environment. He made sure we had everything we needed and every question answered when we took our little bundle home with us three years ago. We have spoken with him a few times since, and he has always been eager to visit with us and hear about Rambo’s progress. Thank you, Todd!

We purchased our WPG in December 2017 and made the drive from Dallas. Todd communicated very quickly and was very helpful every time that I reached out to him. Stevie is the best family friend and I love her willingness to please and her ability to relax when it is time to "quiet" down. Thanks Todd for an amazing dog!!!

We called and made arrangements to pick up our WHP Griffon Feb 4, 2018. It was an easy drive from Kansas City. Mr. Brown has been great with information to get us started training our family pup. He sent us off with meds and towels and every reassurance that he would be easily available for questions. All the documentation helped quickly transition to our vet at home. The dog is beautiful and easy to train. Super dog with our kids 10 and 13. Thank you Mr Brown.

Met Todd in early January of 2018. I drove from Tennessee so I could see the kennel and dogs (wirehaired pointing griffon) before deciding. Lilly is now 4 months old and a great family friend to my boys and wife.

Lilly is a pure hunting dog. Tons of drive and catching on quickly to all training, currently imprinting her on quail and shed horns. Lilly's parents were both calm and receptive to all my interactions with them. It has carried over to Lilly as she is not only trainable but very sociable.

I would recommend this kennle for anyone wanting a quality dog for family, hunting, or both.

If you are looking for a great all around hunting and family dog the WPG is a great choice and Todd is a great choice for a breeder. We have a new pup from Todd and our experience with him has been outstanding. Spenser was well taken care of and has transitioned into our family with ease. I can't wait for the weather to get a little warmer so we can start working on some outdoor training better. Our vet was impressed with the pup especially because she is familiar with the breed and said you have to be careful with the show breeders as they have bred some less than desirable traits into the show lines. The hunting/family lines Todd breeds don't have the problems.

Great breeder to deal with. Our griffon is now 3 months old and couldn’t ask for more out of a dog. Well mannered and a quick learner. Todd took care of some logistical issues when we purchased that really helped us out. Overall great experience.

We picked up our wirehaired pointing griffon last month. Todd was great to work with. He clearly loves his dogs, which are happy and very well cared-for. Our puppy is absolutely perfect! He is exactly what we were hoping for when searching for a griff. Thank you Todd!

We picked our WPG up from Mistie Acres in October. Our Gracie has been a bundle of energy from day one! She is such a sweet dog. Vet says she is really healthy and looks great from his view. We are in the middle of training, may be a little stubborn (that's just the breed I think)! She can sit, and shake hands, points at birds, but hasn't quite learned how come when called.. 😜 She has been a great addition to our family, So glad we found this breeder. We are looking forward to many great years with our Gracie.

Today we are celebrating the birthday of our WPG, Riley Buck! Hard to imagine how we had made it this far without this member of our family. In the field, in the blind or in the backyard, Riley is attentive and eager to please. He has become so much part of our lives, as Todd told us, " they are one in a million". Todd is great breeder, super to work with and a good friend.

We just bought our griffon from Mr. Todd and couldn't be more pleased with our pup Hogan. Hogan is full of energy and even though still young we can tell he will be a great companion and hunting partner. Todd is full of information and I highly recommend Mistie Acres Kennels if you are searching for your next dog!!

We picked up our first WPG (a male pup we named Dresden) this past April and couldn't be happier with little nipper. He's a character and unbelievably smart. Todd was incredibly helpful and informative about the breed and made sure to introduce us to Dresden's parents and even his grandpa, so we could see the health and bloodline of our pup. He took the time to go over care and grooming pointers and to give us helpful hints. All around, it was a great experience and we are more than happy with our newest family member and future search and rescue teammate. Thanks again, Todd!

I purchased a Wirehaired Griffon from Todd in May and could not be more happy with my dog. He is healthy as can be, training is coming along great. Todd Brown is an incredible breeder that I highly recommend! I found Todd on and called him immediately. I spent close to 45 minutes on the phone with him and he answered every single question for me.

Thanks so much Todd!

After losing our Jack Russel of thirteen years we did an online search for a Pointing Griffon. We interviewed different breeders but once our email correspondence progressed to a phone conversation with Todd I new we were on the right track. Todd was patient and very informative. He even sent us updates on the litter. When the time arrived to pick up our female, Babe, Todd spent over an hour with us sharing information and getting us on the right track. We couldn't be happier with our Griff.

We purchased a Wirehaired Griffon male pup (Gus) from Todd last fall. Gus is now 7 months old and has become part of the family in every way possible. He is extremely smart, easy to train, and has an outstanding personality. He's a real comedian. Todd was great to work with and answered all the question we had throughout the process. Misty Acres offers a quality product!

I have given one, but I left out the most important thing you need to know.
Choosing a kennel , & breeder is the single most serious decision you will make , when you are looking for a pup.
In my opinion Misty Acers in Ark. , & Mr. Todd Brown , cannot be beat.
The pup we got last fall is thriving. Her health is so great, it made me neverous. I took her to the vet because she hadn't been sick.
You see she isn't our first. Our first Griff had a specialist ,&
Surgen waiting in Dallas. Everything couldn't be fixed. At the age our Misty Acers pup is. We had her 7 yrs. she was family.
In spite of daily pills, monthly sick visits to her vet. We could only give her 7 years. You never want to have to make the decision we had to.
The point of telling this story is to say the mistake in not choosing the right breeder,& kennel will cost you more than money. When a person who knows the reality of both experiences says that Misty Acers Kennel ,& breeder Todd Brown are 5 star across the board believe it.
Our pup from last fall we bought from Misty Acers is a joy every day. A very healthy joy.

We bought our pup from Todd Brown. She is a 5 month old healthy, happy, bundle of joy. We could not be more pleased.
Murphy is a Wire Haired Pointing Griffon. Mr.Brown was very knowledgable , helpful, & determined that he breed healthy pups. Todd Brown did exactly that.
We were able to get our puppy young, spend that time bonding with her. Any questions we had he answered.
Not only was he helpful at his kennel, his interest in Murphy, & her vet here continued.
This Breeder really cares, I would recommend him to anyone. ..... He's great.

I have a male from one of his latest WHPG litters and I cannot express the happiness this dog gives me. He is easily trained and is coming along with his commands. He is tolerant of my mistakes and really wants to please. It is possible I have on my hands one of the best bird dogs this side of the Canadian border. Just saying. Thanks Todd!

I recently took home one of Todd's precious little WHPG pups and have not had one regret. Todd is a quality breeder and extremely knowledgable. I am very happy with my puppy which I've named Remi and would most certainly purchase another later on down the road as well as recommend him to anyone wanting a wonderful canine companion! Thank you again Todd!

I called Todd to find out more information on Mountain Curs and he took the time to tell me more about them and about other breeds that might work better for me. Thanks Todd for using your great knowledge in helping me with my questions!

I had got a Mountain Cur from a dog pound and it was the first time I'd ever even heard of a Mountain Cur and I'm a dog lover.. But I was trying to learn more about the Mountain Cur breed...there temperment, skills, everything, because I have small children.... And I found their web site and called.. I talked to Todd and he was wonderful! He told me the background of the breed, there temperment, what to expect, and how the settlers actually used the dog to babysit there children along time ago. He educated me more about the dog in 5 or minutes that what the internet did in 2 day's!! So I just wanted to say Thank you Todd for your time explaining to me about the Mountain Cur... We love our little Cur to death already.. and my daughter named her Happy!!
Thanks, Dolly in West Virginia..
