Avalanche is a well-started young German Shorthaired Pointer whelped in May 2025, showing exceptional natural ability, drive, and style. He has been started on birds and is already finding and pointing with confidence and intensity. Avalanche has had birds shot over him and shows a solid desire to retrieve. Gun introduction is complete, and he handles it with ease. His recall is reliable and improving daily; he knows “sit” and basic obedience, is crate trained, and is easy to handle. He is well-socialized with people, dogs, and new environments, and is currently being smoothly introduced to the e-collar. Avalanche has an excellent temperament, strong prey drive, and the right foundation for someone looking for a hunting companion or future sport dog. He will come microchipped and with AKC limited registration. We would like to see him go to a hunting home where he can continue his development and potentially earn a Junior Hunter title. Avalanche is not a washout from our program he was kept to start on birds and offer as a started dog for someone who may not have the time or experience to train their own pup, but wants a quality hunting companion. Please note he is being sold as started, he knows the basics, and is ready to hunt with supervision. Ideal for Hunters who want a dog they can hunt with now and continue to train themselves. We also offer reimbursement for earned titles, as we love to see our dogs succeed. Price reflects puppy cost plus training to date. Avalanche's parents are health tested, hips, elbows, eyes, DNA, and cardiac. Both parents are guide dogs on our preserve & titled in the field and show ring. He has a solid pedigree behind him and will make a fantastic hunting and family companion.
