About Dry Pond Retrievers
The deeper into the pedigree that dogs are certified free of health issues, the better! Our breeding's are thoughtfully planned to ensure correct temperament, type, soundness, trainability and ensure that they are certified free of health issues. The pups are lovingly raised in our home giving them maximum socialization during the first few weeks and then moved into our new kennels designed for handling a litter full of active puppies! Our Breeding program will be based on these fundamentals: To make a better dog with the proper mating in looks, health clearances, training ability, and behavior, while keeping temperament as a high priority. To breed healthy, sound dogs for hunting, field trials, companions, and obedience. Our breeding's are planned with the research of pedigrees and we choose the stud dog who will best compliment our girl. Every litter is planned with a goal and purpose months or years in advance with the intention of keeping a puppy or puppies to continue our lines and build on our program. For the Puppies: Find the correct placement of the dog into the proper environment. We want our puppies to become valued members of their families so they are well socialized in our home before going to their new homes. We do only breed chocolate labrador retrievers and most are dual registered - AKC and UKC. However we provide whelping services to approved litters and will have other puppies available from time to time. These are either chocolate, black and yellow and even a Golden Retriever litter from time to time. Please visit our website and take a look at the testamonials from previous puppy buyers. Check us out on Facebook. I post updates daily and you can see updates from the current litter we are raising and keep up with the girls we have kept for our breeding program. www.facebook.com/drypondkennel We also provide whelping and puppy raising services along with a puppy head-start program up to 6 months of age.

I cannot say enough great things about Beth and everyone at Dry Pond Kennels! Beth did a wonderful job of communicating and keeping me up to date with everything going on in the puppy’s life. She was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions that I had. Brewer (Jazz X Whiskey), has the best temperament and has fit seamlessly into our family. He is now 16 weeks old and right at 30 pounds. People constantly ask where we got him every time we take him out, and I’m happy to tell them about Dry Pond Kennels. Thank you Beth and everyone at Dry Pond Kennels for an absolutely amazing experience and the perfect puppy. I can’t wait to get my next puppy from y’all!

We have had labs for over 35 years and I can say I’ve had some awesome dogs. I truly believe our Jazz x Whisky 2019 will be another as expected when you use a reputable breeder. The difference this time was the experience with Beth at Dry Pond. From the early morning answer to my inquiry about this litter to picking our puppy up Dry Pond was attentive, informative and professional. Our puppy Kate has proven to be the most well adjusted and socialized 8 week old pup we have experienced. In fact we’ve enjoyed our experience so much we’ve already talked to Beth about another pup this spring.

We are so thankful to Beth at Dry Pond Kennel. We traveled from PA to get our new addition, Timber (Bella/Briggs 2019), in March. Even though we were so far away it felt like we were right there because of all the pictures and updates from Beth. Timber has an awesome disposition and did great with potty/crate training. Would highly recommend them for your next addition!

Beth was amazing from the first time we spoke up until 3 months later when we picked up our pup at Dry Pond Kennel. She communicated regularly and sent photos and videos as well as giving us tips, treats, and even tiring her out in advance of our 10 hour drive home. Dry Pond is a A++ facility, breeder, and kennel who always keeps the best interests and health of the dogs at heart. Just watch her videos and you will see. Beth and her staff are truly genuine and caring treating every dog like their own. We have only had our lab less than a week and she has a wonderful, calm, and loving temperament which I contribute to Beth and all her tireless efforts to breed, raise, train these labs in a clean, superior, and loving environment! If you want a lab, go with Dry Pond Kennel. You will have made the right decision and will not be sorry.

We found Beth via an internet search in January 2018. We had just lost our 11 year old chocolate lab and were absolutely grief stricken. We visited Dry Pond Kennel in January 2018, when Beth was hosting an open house, we wanted to make sure that we found a dedicated breeder, not a puppy mill. We were so impressed by Beth and her facility, it is top notch. Her kennel is so clean and the dogs and puppies are so well cared for. We knew we were in the right place, and put our name on her list for an upcoming litter.

Beth kept us informed as to what litters would be available and in May 2018, we brought home our precious Buoy from the Dakota x Sprig March 2018 litter. Beth is a great communicator and keeps you informed every step of the way through emails and social media.

Beth is kind, genuine, and dedicated to raising great dogs. Her puppies are smart, fearless, and easy to train. Her socialization training of the puppies is amazing.

Buoy is now 14 months old and will soon graduate from Gun Dog school. He is such a joy to us, we can't thank Beth and her staff at DPK enough for helping bring him into our lives.

If you're looking for a chocolate lab, look no further, Beth and her staff at DPK are the best you will find.

Beth is an incredible breeder. Stop looking any further, as you've found the one you've been looking for.

Beth was the breeder for my 1.5 year old chocolate lab, Meghan. As someone who lives on the other side of the country (LA), you think I'd be crazy to work with someone in South Carolina. However, Beth came so highly recommended, as was such a joy to work with, I flew out to S.C. rather than working with someone here locally, that's how great she is.

Meghan, our lab, is incredible. While she is not used for hunting, there is no doubt in my mind she could be an amazing gun dog (hard to train gun dogs in urban LA). We do formal retrieving work at our nearby park, and Meghan puts all other dogs to shame with her steadiness, focus, determination, and athleticism. So many of those behaviors beginning to shine from the day I picked her up, as Beth fosters bravery, courage, and a desire to retrieve, from the moment those pups have the ability to walk.

I have also personally visited Beth's facilities, and you'll feel comfortable knowing that your new pup will be spending their first two months in an incredible home. From an amazing play area, to specialized birthing rooms, Beth truly has gone above and beyond to create an incredible facility.

So, as I said at the top. Go ahead and start working with Beth. You'll never find anyone better than Dry Pond.

Beth is amazing. So glad I happened upon DPK with a random puppy search. Beth goes above and beyond to raise healthy and socialized puppies by putting her heart and soul into this business. Our lives and hearts are forever changed thanks to Trigger! The Byrd Family
