VC Neenah Creek's Autumn Boon earned his Versatile Champion title at the 2008 NAVHDA Invitational held near St. Paul, MN at the end of August. Boon posted a score of 196 out of 200 points. The NAVHDA Invitational is a "by invitation only" event held annually. The invited dogs perform to the highest level of competence in the NAVHDA Utility Test, demonstrating the full range of a true versatile hunting dog. The dogs are judged according to set standards developed by NAVHDA over the past 39 years. The events include: water work with a marked retrieve, a blind retrieve, honoring a retrieve, and one hour braced field work requiring search, pointing, backing and retrieving. Boon is owned, trained, and handled by John Voight of Wisconsin. Boon is available at stud to approved hunting dams.
