Wyndham Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Dogs At Stud - Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in Ashley, North Dakota - Wyndham and Wyndhamian Retrievers

The Wyndham Chesapeake Bay Retrievers have selectively bred more than 10 generations of Chesapeakes. The stud dogs that are part of our regular shooting team represent this careful breeding, selection for temperament, breed charactor and trainability. All of our stud dogs are direct female line decendents of the Cocoa King breeding program developed in Wisconsin more than 70 years ago. These dogs currently working represent a concentration of the orriginal stock with judicious out crosses to other purely work selected lines. Each animal is rigedly selected for working ability, soundness, temperament, trainability, longevity and breed charactor. This process requires that we raise several promising puppies for any one that will ever be used for breeding.  Pedigree and veterinary checks are important but in the final analysis it is "pretty is as pretty does" that makes the final decision.

There are currently three proven males that can be offered at stud for breeding to approved bitches. These are animals that are superior workers, quality representatives of the breed and producers of above average progeny.

1.  Wyndham's Raging River, rugged brown dog with a very focused and determined working style. I have retained two daughters and a grandaughter for my shooting needs and for future breeding.

2.  Wyndham's Range Rider, a very athletic light deadgrass colored dog. A flashy and fast worker with a delightful personality. He has sired several very good workers for others and recently was bred to my best female in the home kennel.

3.  Ch Wyndham's Unequaled, is a large extremely fast sedge or red colored dog that has been the standout worker since his first season. He has sired several excellent workers and has a very promising young son being retain here for the future
