About Maahs Hunt Farm
Maahs Hunt Farm
GSPs and Bobwhite Quail
We raise one to two litters in spring and fall of fine-pedigreed German Shorthaired Pointers on our small acreage, southeast of Lincoln, Nebraska. This allows us the time to give personal attention to the puppies, and initial training using the quail we also raise. Families, individuals, young couples, and hunters have all been very pleased with our dogs, whether they bring them inside as house dogs or keep them outside.
Limited Quail are available for sale throughout the year for hunt tests, field trials, and for training your own dog.

Submitted by: Tommi Jones on Jun 28, 2016We have 2 male siblings of Maahs pups from a November 2014 litter. We got our first at 8 weeks out of that litter and rehomed the second to our house when he was 6 months. Although they are siblings, they have two very distinct personalities. They are not gun shy, great hunting dogs and showed skills beyond our expectations during their first season. They live in the house with us, but are kennel trained at night and when we are gone. The follow-up even after you get the pup with the Maahs is excellent and we are very grateful for our two boys from them. Just a reminder if you are looking to own a GSP they are extremely high energy.
Submitted by: Ariel DeGuzman on Jun 26, 2016I was on fb and found a page with the Maah litter, i seen this pup name HighVoltage- to me it was love at first site, i contacted Drenda and decided to get HIgh Voltage now i have name him MHF Diamond Blade. He is what i expected the Maahs are such good good people and very knowledgeable on the breed. if you have caught a glimps of a post and the Maahs has a litter. Waist no time, and get your pick, you are getting the best bloodline pup from a wonderful breeder.
Submitted by: April on Jun 24, 2016Only people I will get GSP from. I am now on my 3rd amazing dog from Maahs hunt farm. Truly the best dogs I have ever had very loyal, wonder family dog, amazing hunters couldn't ask for anything better. You won't be disappointed with a puppy from from Clayton and Drenda. They really care about the puppies they place. Best choice you could make choosing the Maah family for your new addition.
Submitted by: Steven Austin on Jun 19, 2016Had not a clue what an "Impressive" line GSP would consist of until all my research brought me to Clayton and Drenda Maahs. My wife and I eagerly wanted to add a female to our hunting pack and we chose the Nellie x Sky breeding of 2015. Both Amanda and I drove to Lincoln to pick up our little spitfire. I took Brie on all of our 2015 season hunts and as a very young pup she showed more drive than some of the other bigger boys! You will not be disappointed with an Impressive from Maahs; in fact you'll want another! Being devout breeders of GSPs, you'll see why folks look up Drenda and Clayton. Both kind, hospitable, and truly interested in where their pups go to live, they love seeing the hunt pics, the successes in the Tests and the joy their dogs bring to hunters and those who just seek GSP love. These dogs have a drive far beyond normal consideration and I always joke that I need to be on a mule or horse...the casting drive is hard, the intensity is strong, and the desire to provide hunter with bird in hand is comparable to the Jedi Force! You will NOT be disappointed. I swear on it!!
Submitted by: Philip Loseke on Jun 19, 2016Me and my wife got our first GSP from Maahs 2 years ago. Drenda and Clayton were very nice to us and gave us all the information we needed. Within the first year our puppy had earned 2 junior passes. Our GSP has been great around kids and never attempts to be rough. I am also thankful that we can still call Maahs Hunt Farm for any questions we have about our GSP. We will be buying another pup from them in the future.
Submitted by: McCave's on Jun 18, 2016Absolutely wonderful service and dog received from Maahs Hunt! Miss Georgia Belle is an amazing GSP and shall we ever get another the only place we would choose another from is here!
Submitted by: Victoria on Jun 18, 2016I bought my first GSP from Maahs Hunt Farm. Smartest and most loyal dog I have ever owned. Drenda was so easy to work with and did all the leg work on having my girl transported to me in Arizona. I will be buying from them again. Best money ever spent.
Submitted by: Kay Zvolanek on Jun 18, 2016We got our third GSP from Maahs Hunt Farm. We are so happy with her. She's an awesome little hunter without much training and an great family dog. We will get our next one from Drenda and Clayton. They are such great people. They keep track of where their puppies go and are interested in how they're doing. Great place to get your GSP family member.
Submitted by: Abby Smits on Jun 18, 2016We got our female (Mira) in July of 2015 and were shooting pheasant over her that November! We couldn't be happier with the caliber of hunting dog that she is as well as a fabulous family dog. My 2 year old daughter often refers to her as "my Mira". Mira is friendly, very trainable, and just a joy to be around!
Submitted by: Michael Tiner on Jun 18, 2016I have 4 GSP's from the Maahs and they are awesome! They are natural hunters just add birds! Great all around dogs. Love to run the field and come home to get in your lap. Mine have been to South Dakota Arkansas and Kansas they have no problems wherever we are! The Maahs are great breeders and do everything right for your puppy!
