We have 2 male siblings of Maahs pups from a November 2014 litter. We got our first at 8 weeks out of that litter and rehomed the second to our house when he was 6 months. Although they are siblings, they have two very distinct personalities. They are not gun shy, great hunting dogs and showed skills beyond our expectations during their first season. They live in the house with us, but are kennel trained at night and when we are gone. The follow-up even after you get the pup with the Maahs is excellent and we are very grateful for our two boys from them. Just a reminder if you are looking to own a GSP they are extremely high energy.

Had not a clue what an "Impressive" line GSP would consist of until all my research brought me to Clayton and Drenda Maahs. My wife and I eagerly wanted to add a female to our hunting pack and we chose the Nellie x Sky breeding of 2015. Both Amanda and I drove to Lincoln to pick up our little spitfire. I took Brie on all of our 2015 season hunts and as a very young pup she showed more drive than some of the other bigger boys! Both kind, hospitable, and truly interested in where their pups go to live, they love seeing the hunt pics, the successes in the Tests and the joy their dogs bring to hunters and those who just seek GSP love. These dogs have a drive far beyond normal consideration and I always joke that I need to be on a mule or horse...the casting drive is hard, the intensity is strong, and the desire to provide hunter with bird in hand is comparable to the Jedi Force! Me and my wife got our first GSP from Maahs 2 years ago. Drenda and Clayton were very nice to us and gave us all the information we needed. Within the first year our puppy had earned 2 junior passes. Our GSP has been great around kids and never attempts to be rough. I am also thankful that we can still call Maahs Hunt Farm for any questions we have about our GSP. We will be buying another pup from them in the future.

We got our female (Mira) in July of 2015 and were shooting pheasant over her that November! We couldn't be happier with the caliber of hunting dog that she is as well as a fabulous family dog. My 2 year old daughter often refers to her as "my Mira". Mira is friendly, very trainable, and just a joy to be around!

I have 4 GSP's from the Maahs and they are awesome! They are natural hunters just add birds! Great all around dogs. Love to run the field and come home to get in your lap. Mine have been to South Dakota Arkansas and Kansas they have no problems wherever we are! The Maahs are great breeders and do everything right for your puppy!

We have a 2 1/2 year old female "Mazy" who is all business in the field during hunting season and a perfect family pet in the off-season. Her natural ability and hunting instincts have made training her such a joy.

My first encounter with Maahs Hunt Farms was actually on this website. I had been doing some research to find local german shorthair breeders and came across their information from here. I checked into their website and discovered they had a very recent litter. I contacted Drenda to see if any were still available and she had 1 female left but other people were also interested. She was very flexible and was able to set up a time for me to come out. The second I laid eyes on that little beauty, well it was love at first site. I made up my mind right then and there and we brought our little Hazel home 3 weeks later. My boyfriend is an avid pheasant and quail hunter and was quick to see how Hazel would perform. The pointer instincts were obviously engraved in her DNA from the beginning. Hazel will be 2 years old in November 2016 and continues to amaze us with her natural pointing and tracking abilities. She is the perfect addition to our active lives. I thank Clayton and Drenda for bringing this wonderful creature into my life!

I got my GSP, Oliver, from Drenda a little over 2 years ago in April. Let me start with saying, Wow, has the time flown by! Oliver has been such a blessing and amazing companion to me. He's the perfect mixture of sweet and stubborn with a great personality in general! He's great with my animals at home, from cats to reptiles to ferrets and hedgehogs, but outside he'd catch and drop rabbits at my feet all day long. He will out any animal he smells when out in our field. Whether your looking for a great hunting dog or sweet companion for yourself or your family, Maah's Hunt Farm does not disappoint! She truly has some beautiful dogs both inside and out with great personalities and very intelligent too! You can tell she takes pride in the puppies she breeds to get and only strives to better the breed! Great quality breeder with a passion for these dogs!

I first met Maahs at a hunt test with my shorthair. They were so friendly and helpful that when my breeding female died suddenly, they were the people I called. Knowing my situation and expectations out of a new pup, they pointed me toward the pup they thought would work best for me. They were right, Flash has been the perfect addition to my kennel. She has the drive to hunt all day and is a perfect bracemate to my male, Ex, who is also from their kennel. I would recomend them to anyone interested in a great hunting dog.

I got my GSP Champ from Drenda & Clayton Maahs back in 2008 and he is a great dog! I've shot my limit in KS over Champ several times and he's also really good with my kids. I highly recommend the Maahs and have found them to be very ethical and fair. I'd definitely buy another dog from them.
