Knowing nothing about the breed, I was completely clueless as to what I was looking for when it came to color, hunting capability and the breeds personality. This is when I stumbled upon Wire Bridge Kennels. Ivy answered the first time I called and explained to me everything I needed and wanted to know about this awesome breed. Following this conversation, I knew this was where I would be purchasing my puppy from and put a deposit in the mail ASAP. She was very kind and helped me in every way possible to find exactly what I was looking for. I purchased Wesson from Wire Bridge Kennels on December 14, 2012. From the day the puppies were born, Ivy sent pictures weekly, if not daily, so I could see the puppies as they grew and changed. When I picked Wesson up, he was everything I wanted and more. I really enjoyed meeting, both Ivy and Russell in person. They were both extremely kind and gave me great information about what to expect with a GSP and some wonderful training tips. Their Kennels were immaculate and you could tell that they really loved and cared about each and everyone of their dogs. Wesson is now 5 1/2 months old and is already potty trained, sits, lays down, kennels with ease, has no problem around a gun, fetches on command, and heels without a leash, which I think is outstanding for a puppy his age. These are some of the smartest puppies I have ever worked with. I have not one single regret of purchasing Wesson from Wire Bridge Kennels and would recommend them to anyone in search of the perfect German Shorthaired Pointer. Thanks Again Ivy and Russell!! Submitted by: Jamey Small on Mar 22, 2013 I was searching for a dog for my girlfriend, T.J., who lost her family dog, Chloe around a year ago. While we were both doing research on different breeds we came to a decision on German Short-Haired Pointers. Not long after making that decision T.J. stumbled upon Ivy and her kennel. She was more than helpful in our search for the right pup for us. We ended up choosing a pup called Maggie and as soon as our choice was made Ivy was more then happy to change her name to Ellie since that was the T.J. wanted to use. She was always willing to send photos and updates throughout the time of first contact and up to date of pick up. Ivy and her husband really care about every dog that comes and goes through her home. I will not hesitate on recommending them to anyone who is looking for a new member to their family. Submitted by: Daniel Yarbrough on Mar 16, 2013 I purchased a GSP, Duke, from Wire Bridge Kennels on March 16th 2013, and was extremely pleased with the entire experience. The kennels which the dogs as well as the litter were kept were exceptionally clean. The mother and father were also present when I arrived to choose Duke from the litter. From the time that I contacted the owners they were helpful with everything from informing me as to which food to purchase, to giving me a log of immunizations and when the next set was due. After choosing Duke from the litter, they sent pictures at least weekly, or sooner if I requested. They were more than happy to inform me of his progress any time that I asked. They were also willing and happy to answer any questions that I had at any time, and still are. You can tell that they spent a lot of time with Duke as he is well socialized. He also slept through the night the very first night. When I picked Duke up, they were very flexible with the schedule and working with me on a time. Duke had also had a bath, nails clipped, and ears cleaned before I got there. They also had all of the required paperwork together as well as all the information for me to turn into my vet on the first visit. Once again, I am very pleased with the entire experience that I had with Wire Bridge Kennels. It was a very clean place, with extremely helpful and knowledgeable owners that care for their dogs. They are also helpful with any questions and more than happy to work with your schedule. Submitted by: Jay Prosch on Mar 15, 2013 I am 20 years old and I finally decided that I wanted a dog that I can call my own that I raise myself. Throughout my dog search process I knew I wanted a smart, beautiful, and loving dog. I called Ivy and she answered all my questions about GSP's and I knew this was what I wanted. She provided background information on the father and mother of the upcoming litter and included pictures. Ivy was very straight forward and honest with me throughout the whole process. Once my puppy was born (Levi) Ivy was there for all my questions, concerns, and picture updates. Ivy is on top of her game. I was never left in the dark and very confident that Levi was being taken good care of. I was very excited and was constantly asking for updates and pictures and Ivy never got the slightest bit frustrated or annoyed. When I picked up Levi I saw all their GSP's and witnessed how well they manage their dogs and what good care they provide. Levi is a very healthy, beautiful, loving, and playful dog. I could not have asked for anything more throughout this process. It has been great. Levi is perfect.Submitted by: Dylan Mecher on Jan 06, 2013 I picked up Adler at 6 weeks and he has just turned 9 weeks yesterday. He's an outstanding dog so far! He's smart and has picked up basic commands easily. He's also great looking, he's everything I hoped for and more. I am glad I went with wirebridge kennels and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a gsp. The Willoughbys kept me up to date on the pup with pictures until the day I picked him up. Two thumbs up for wirebridge kennels!Submitted by: Erica Stephens on Dec 02, 2012 We were looking for an active, energetic new addition to our family. We found the perfect German Shorthaired Pointer at Wire Bridge Kennels. We brought Toby home in August 2012. And I'm happy to report that he's loving, healthy and bright. Our entire family has fallen in love with him. Thanks, Ivy!Submitted by: Cory Henson on Nov 16, 2012 Growing up with GSP's all my childhood, when I decided to purchase my first dog this breed was the only one I considered. However, I was somewhat picky with what I wanted in a GSP. I was dead set on finding a sold liver female. I found little Boa on the website here and contacted Ivy immediately. She was very prompt to call me back and speak freely with me about their entire operation at Wirebridge Kennels. Two days later I went out for a visit and as soon as I saw the pup and the love she was already getting I knew I wanted her. The Willoughbys were very kind and accommodating to all me requests. As much as I wanted to due to a work obligation I couldn't take little Boa home till the end of the week. They were happy to keep her until then for me which was a huge help. When I arrived to pick her up they welcomed me into their home and took care of everything answering all my questions. The puppy I purchased from them is very loving and loyal, and also exceptionally intelligent...she learns very quickly. She spends her days with me on the golf course running and getting plenty of exercise chasing off geese. She is everything I wanted in a GSP and more. Not only would I purchase another dog from Wirebridge Kennels I would recommend anyone to them to purchase a gun dog.Submitted by: Erin on Oct 23, 2012 Wire Bridge Kennels is owned and operated by a dog loving family. I purchased my liver and white GSP pup a year ago from Ivy.... And I couldn't be more happy with my pick. My pup is smart, fast, loving, has a beautiful point and is eager to please. Not to mention, very healthy. Ivy and her family have kelp in touch via FB and emails to ensure my pup and I were the best fit for each other. She is a wonderful addition to our GSP and GWP family. Submitted by: Sam on Sep 29, 2012 I contacted the Willoughby's in attempts of locating a mostly solid liver female GSP. From the first few minutes of speaking with Mrs. Ivy, I was sold from her southern hospitality alone. I was searching for a breeder that promoted raising the puppies in a positive, healthy and social atmosphere, And a new at this point, I needed look no further. I could immediately tell after the first few weeks of conversations with the Willoughby's that they pride themselves on honestly and integrity and this as well, highly impressed me in comparison to other breeders. In addition, I could request pictures and present questions at almost any time, and Ivy was always glad to respond and with far more promptness than I could have ever asked for. She was willing to describe as often as you request very detailed appearance and basic dispositions of all the puppies and for over the phone chat, you can all relate, that's not the easiest of things ><. So in receiving such good descriptions and having an ample amount of information to base my decision off of , I was highly confident in selecting a puppy from these breeders and knowing I was selecting a well nurtured and highly balanced gun dog. Bailey is very intelligent, active, and healthy and is learning all her commands without any problems at all. Shes right on track for her age, and even at 4 months old, I couldn't be more happy with selecting such a fine dog, bred in such a wonderful atmosphere, from such a fine quality breeder! Please support more breeders like this! Submitted by: Joshua on Sep 21, 2012 When I was looking for a male GPS there were not many litters remotely close to Key West so I came here gundogbreeders to look. I found Wire Bridge Kennels and called them. I talked to Ivy and right away she started to tell me the pros and cons of the breed and since I had a female at the time I told her I know about the breed she then asked me what I was looking for color wise and I told her a liver ticked. She said there was only one in the litter and the woman who was getting him said a deposit check was in the mail and even tho Ivy hadn't received it yet she is taking her word since she likes to see good in everyone and right there I knew I called the right place. I proceeded to ask her what pups were still available and she emailed me about 3 pictures of each pup still available which was alot since the litter came only days before. I then picked out the one that I liked she said once I come up with a name to let her know. Once I decided on duke she started calling him that. Ivy would sent pictures and updates on how he was doing up to the day before I picked him up. When I showed up to pick him up he already knew his name. I am so glad I drove 16 hours to pick up duke from the Willoughby's. When I meet to pick up my pup she said all the pups slept in the house and it shows. My GPS is VERY family oriented and I can't thank them more for that. I am very pleased with duke and the quality of dogs they produce. They still stay in touch with me to see him grow. Ivy even sent me a picture of one of his new brothers. I highly recommend Wire Bridge Kennels to anyone looking for a quality GPS.
