Testimonials (38) | Back to Wire Bridge Kennels
Submitted by: Rynearson family on Apr 01, 2015We got our dog Zoey a couple of weeks ago, and I can honestly say it was the very best decision we could of made. She is 8 weeks old and has brought so much joy to our family already. She is healthy, sweet, loving, and outgoing. She has fit into our family very well. Prior to getting the dog, I searched and searched for a good breeder, and wire bridge kennels is where I finally landed. They are awesome! Ivy is a joy to talk to and is very informative. They are very knowledgeable about this breed, and do an amazing job with their dogs. I couldn't of asked for more! They care a lot about their dogs and it shows. I would definitely buy another dog from them. I would recommend wire bridge kennels to anyone who is looking for a german shorthaired pointer. Outstanding kennel and service!!! 😎😍👍
Submitted by: Genny J. on Mar 31, 2015First off, if I could rate Wirebridge Kennel higher than a 5, I certainly would. I have taken a while to write this review because I wanted to make sure I had enough time to truly give them all the credit they deserved. Getting my perfect puppy, Oakley through Wirebridge Kennel was one of the best decisions I have ever made. From start to finish, we had the most amazing experience. Between pictures sent frequently and constant updates, we always felt like we were right there with our little pup even though he was in Georgia and we were in Florida. We truly felt like we were part of the entire process even though we were not in close proximity. Ivey took beyond excellent care of the puppies health-wise. Tails were docked, dew claws removed, and boosters and dewormings started. However, even more important to me was how the puppies were cared for emotionally. You could tell these puppies were handled frequently and loved on an infinite amount. To backtrack a bit, I work at a Vet's office and found Wirebridge Kennels through a client who already had a pointer, Forrest. He was the ideal dog. Beautiful, intelligent, elegant, strong...so many additional adjectives. After hearing about the exceptional experience Forrest's owners had, I knew Ivey and her husband would be the only people I would trust with my puppy. They did not disappoint. I can not tell ypu how many people I have told about the Kennels and how happy I am to have found Oakley. He is who he is because of those first seven weeks spent at Wirebridge. I could not have asked for a more amazing dog. Working in a Veterinary office, I have seen the best and worst of breeders. Ivey and her husband are far more superior than any I have come into contact with. Picking a breeder may seem daunting, but trust me, you have nothing to worry about when dealing with Wirebridge Kennels. You will have nothing but the best. Oakley is now 7 months. He is happy, healthy, smart, funny, goofy, athletic, and we can't go anywhere without being stopped by someone who wants to meet him. He is the best dog and he came from the absolute best.
Submitted by: Addison Davis on Feb 25, 2015I got my dog Buck back in June of last year, and I can say that it was one of the best decisions I ever made. He is a very healthy, happy, and loving dog that now I don't know what I would do without. The breeders were exceptional in everything from day 1. They were very knowledgeable, and helped me with everything I needed. I couldn't be more happy with the service, and dog. He is only 9 months and already makes a great duck dog, and has learned to point and back. He also is the most loving dog there is, and is always happy to greet anyone with loving licks to the face. If you are looking for a shorthaired pointer, I highly recommend getting it from Wire Bridge Kennnels. The service you will receive is outstanding, and mostly importantly so is the dog you will be getting.
Submitted by: Shaina Goins on Sep 02, 2014This is a wonderful breeder! Ivy was extremely helpful and caring! Mako (was Jeter, I renamed him) is extremely smart and very eager to please! Ivy had all my paperwork together when I arrived and even showed me the kennels and Mako's parents(: I would definitely reccommend getting your next gsp pup from Wire Bridge!
Submitted by: Seccuro Family on Aug 14, 2014The newest member of our family is a beautiful GSP named Jep. We had a really great experience with Wire Bridge Kennels. Ivy was so nice to keep us updated with photos of our pup. We were nervous and excited to pick him up, and instantly felt good about the care he had been receiving for the first six weeks of his life. He is such a healthy, happy and extremely smart dog. We look forward to watching him mature into a well trained hunting dog. We also love the fact that he has such a sweet, loving personality. We don't know what we did before Jep came into our lives. He is 15 weeks old now and getting so big! He gets a lot of attention when we take him out. People stop and comment on how beautiful he is. So lucky we found Wire Bridge Kennels.
Submitted by: Emily Eason on Jul 01, 2014While searching for the right GSP breeder I really took my time as I wanted to make sure I made the right decision. We found Wirebirdge Kennels and was so pleased with every part of the adopting process. Ivy is very good at communcating as she always picks up her phone and if she is not able to she is very prompt with getting back to you. I live in Florida and was not able to go to see the pups prior to adopting, so she was very accommodating to sending me pictures of all the pups, and telling me how their personalities were starting to show. She assured me that if I wanted a calm pup, I would not go home with the most aggressive of the litter. She really listened to things that were important to us, and was also very inquisitive about what kind of people we were and made sure we were fit to raise a GSP. Raising a GSP pup requires a lot of time and energy as they are always on the go. After we decided what pup we wanted she would send us picture of him almost every week, and let us know how he was doing. This made the adopting process so special and I and thankful to have pictures of our pup Forrest when he was so young. Our pup now is 9 months old. He is a ball of energy but has the best personality. He continues to surprise us every day with how smart he is, sometimes to smart for his own good. every where we go people always tell us how beautiful of a dog he is. He is extremely athletic, which is great because we are both very active people. He loves the water and is a great swimmer. He gets along great with other dogs, and loves to meet new people. I find it funny when all the dogs in our neighborhood are barking at Forrest and he just looks and them and keeps trotting along. He is just so well behaved. I have to give him and Ivy credit but also us as owners because we have dedicated so much time to making sure he is a well behaved dog. I would recommend Wirebridge Kennels to anyone looking to adopt a GSP. They are so knowledgeable, accommodating and loving. The facilities are very clean and you can tell all the dogs are very well taken care of.
Submitted by: Matt Hembree on May 19, 2014Ivy was a total joy to work with and helped me get exactly what I wanted. Couldn't have asked for a better pup. He interacts well with all dogs, is taking very well to training for the field, and is an absolute joy around my apartment. If you are wanting a GSP this is the place to go. Ivy and Russell will make sure that you are 100% satisfied with your dog and will help you along the way even after your new little guy has gone home with you. Choose Wire Bridge.
Submitted by: Brad Bankston on Apr 02, 2014I received my GSP from Wirebridge Kennels this past February, and all I can say is, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I cannot express enough how happy I am and how grateful I am to have met Ivy and her husband. They truly love the breed and more so their dogs! After seeing their ad on Gun Dog Breeders, I decided to visit them on site before making any decisions. As an animal lover it was very important for me to be absolutely sure that my dog wasn't going to come from a puppy mill. Upon arriving, it took all of five minutes for me to decide this where I want my dog to come from. They arguably have the cleanest kennels and most well kept dogs I've ever seen. Most importantly, the dogs there are HAPPY! My puppy is now 14 weeks old, and is one healthy, handsome boy! I remain in contact with the Willoughbys, and give them regular updates and pictures of my puppy, like I said, they truly love their dogs! If you are considering getting a GSP, I highly suggest you check out Wirebridge Kennels, you will not be disappointed!
Submitted by: Pam Thomas on Mar 25, 2014Wylie is our first GSP and I can't say enough about how beautiful, smart and loving this puppy is. He's almost 6 months old now. He's learning more and more everyday. We have a 10yr old Chihuahua mix, and even with Wylie's high energy level, he's learned to take it easy with our older guy, which made us very happy. Ivy and Russell are so great to work with. We still keep in touch with updates on Wylie. We highly recommend Wire Bridge Kennels if you are looking for a GSP pup.
Submitted by: Drew Starnes on Mar 18, 2014This is our first GSP, Ivy and Russell do a wonderful job and have a beautiful facility at there kennel. Mojo is a beautiful puppy I would highly recomend Wire Bridge they kept us up too date with pics and messages from the day Mojo was born until I picked him up. Cant say enough good things about these people they are wonderful.
Submitted by: Andrew and Kelsey Unkefer on Jan 10, 2014Payton is our first dog and we literally could not have had a better experience. Ivy and Russell obviously care very much for every one of their dogs. Ivy did a great job of responded to our emails and we looked forward to the weekly pictures she would send us.
Payton is a very healthy, intelligent puppy. We love her very much and already have recommended Wire Bridge Kennels to others.
Submitted by: Ashley Catoe on Dec 15, 2013We began our dog search back during the summer knowing that we wanted a hunting dog but also a dog that would be a part of our family. We decided pretty fast that we wanted a German Shorthaired Pointer and after researching the breed found out that they fit in line with what we were looking for—a smart, loyal family dog as well an extremely well trained hunting dog. We started looking online for a breeder and randomly one night in early October found Wire Bridge Kennels. By the next morning, Ivy had emailed us back that they had just had a litter a week prior to my email. As soon as we saw the pictures, we knew we would be getting our newest addition from Wire Bridge Kennels. From the first email until we picked up our puppy, Ivy was quick to answer any questions we had and always sent us weekly updates with pictures on how our little man, Cash, was doing. The Willoughbys are extremely knowledgeable on the German Shorthaired breed and told us different ways to train our new puppy and what to expect with the breed. We picked Cash up in the middle of November and now, a month later, we could not imagine life without him. Within a week, he already knew how to sit, lay, shake and take his treats “easy”. Everywhere we take him people talk about how beautiful he is and ask where we got him. Of course, the first thing we brag about is Wire Bridge Kennels and how extremely nice, helpful and down to earth Ivy and Russell are. Even a month later, we still keep in touch with them, sending them updates on how Cash is doing. We would highly recommend Wire Bridge Kennels as the place to get your German Shorthaired Pointer. We plan to get another one in the future and already know where we will be getting our second puppy from!
Submitted by: Austin Flachbarth on Sep 19, 2013When I began my search for a dog, I knew that a GSP was the breed for me. After reading all of the amazing reviews on this site, I knew that Wire Bridge Kennels was definitely the place I would be getting a dog from. The entire process was an amazing pleasure, and Ivy is on top of it! She was always quick to respond to any questions I had, and she never got frustrated with me for how often I was asking for pictures. When I went to pick Harley up, I fell in love instantly. She is now almost 4 months old and is easily my best friend. She is crazy smart, sweet, and loyal. She learned so fast, too! She knows many commands, including sit, shake, stay, and lay down. Ivy is an incredible person to work with, and the kennels were immaculate. Every dog there was gorgeous, too. I would recommend Wire Bridge 150%
Submitted by: Larissa Christensen on Aug 03, 2013We bought our dog Lucy from Wire Bridge Kennels and we are extremely pleased with our experience. Ivy is so wonderful! From the minute we made our initial inquiry and then put our deposit, she always kept us up to date by sending texts, pictures and emails updating us on our puppy. My family would look forward to her weekly pictures to see how the dog had grown and changed. This was the best experience we have ever had in purchasing a dog. Our dog is very healthy, happy and super sweet. If anyone is interested in buying a GSP, I would definitely recommend buying it from them.
Submitted by: Mike Nizzi on Jun 14, 2013When I finally decided on getting a puppy for myself, I knew I wanted a short-hair, but I didn't know there was such a great breeder here in Georgia. From the first time I spoke to Ivy, I knew I would buy my dog from Wire Bridge. I went to visit the kennel and meet the Willoughby's and loved everything. My mistake was not bringing my checkbook to put a deposit down right then. After having to wait for the next litter, I chose my puppy, Hank (now Breck) and couldn't be happier with my decision. Within the first few months, he could sit, stay, heel, fetch on command, and was fully potty trained. These dogs are extremely smart and very loving. He's really become part of our family. I highly recommend Wire Bridge - just call them and you'll be won over just like I was. Thanks to Ivy and Russell for breeding such great puppies!
Submitted by: Savannah Grizzle on Apr 07, 2013I began my search for a German Shorthaired Pointer in the Summer of 2012. Knowing nothing about the breed, I was completely clueless as to what I was looking for when it came to color, hunting capability and the breeds personality. This is when I stumbled upon Wire Bridge Kennels. Ivy answered the first time I called and explained to me everything I needed and wanted to know about this awesome breed. Following this conversation, I knew this was where I would be purchasing my puppy from and put a deposit in the mail ASAP. She was very kind and helped me in every way possible to find exactly what I was looking for.
I purchased Wesson from Wire Bridge Kennels on December 14, 2012. From the day the puppies were born, Ivy sent pictures weekly, if not daily, so I could see the puppies as they grew and changed. When I picked Wesson up, he was everything I wanted and more. I really enjoyed meeting, both Ivy and Russell in person. They were both extremely kind and gave me great information about what to expect with a GSP and some wonderful training tips. Their Kennels were immaculate and you could tell that they really loved and cared about each and everyone of their dogs. Wesson is now 5 1/2 months old and is already potty trained, sits, lays down, kennels with ease, has no problem around a gun, fetches on command, and heels without a leash, which I think is outstanding for a puppy his age. These are some of the smartest puppies I have ever worked with. I have not one single regret of purchasing Wesson from Wire Bridge Kennels and would recommend them to anyone in search of the perfect German Shorthaired Pointer. Thanks Again Ivy and Russell!!
Submitted by: Jamey Small on Mar 22, 2013I was searching for a dog for my girlfriend, T.J., who lost her family dog, Chloe around a year ago. While we were both doing research on different breeds we came to a decision on German Short-Haired Pointers. Not long after making that decision T.J. stumbled upon Ivy and her kennel. She was more than helpful in our search for the right pup for us. We ended up choosing a pup called Maggie and as soon as our choice was made Ivy was more then happy to change her name to Ellie since that was the T.J. wanted to use. She was always willing to send photos and updates throughout the time of first contact and up to date of pick up. Ivy and her husband really care about every dog that comes and goes through her home. I will not hesitate on recommending them to anyone who is looking for a new member to their family.
Submitted by: Daniel Yarbrough on Mar 16, 2013I purchased a GSP, Duke, from Wire Bridge Kennels on March 16th 2013, and was extremely pleased with the entire experience. The kennels which the dogs as well as the litter were kept were exceptionally clean. The mother and father were also present when I arrived to choose Duke from the litter.
From the time that I contacted the owners they were helpful with everything from informing me as to which food to purchase, to giving me a log of immunizations and when the next set was due.
After choosing Duke from the litter, they sent pictures at least weekly, or sooner if I requested. They were more than happy to inform me of his progress any time that I asked. They were also willing and happy to answer any questions that I had at any time, and still are.
You can tell that they spent a lot of time with Duke as he is well socialized. He also slept through the night the very first night.
When I picked Duke up, they were very flexible with the schedule and working with me on a time. Duke had also had a bath, nails clipped, and ears cleaned before I got there. They also had all of the required paperwork together as well as all the information for me to turn into my vet on the first visit.
Once again, I am very pleased with the entire experience that I had with Wire Bridge Kennels. It was a very clean place, with extremely helpful and knowledgeable owners that care for their dogs. They are also helpful with any questions and more than happy to work with your schedule.
Submitted by: Jay Prosch on Mar 15, 2013I am 20 years old and I finally decided that I wanted a dog that I can call my own that I raise myself. Throughout my dog search process I knew I wanted a smart, beautiful, and loving dog. I called Ivy and she answered all my questions about GSP's and I knew this was what I wanted. She provided background information on the father and mother of the upcoming litter and included pictures. Ivy was very straight forward and honest with me throughout the whole process. Once my puppy was born (Levi) Ivy was there for all my questions, concerns, and picture updates. Ivy is on top of her game. I was never left in the dark and very confident that Levi was being taken good care of. I was very excited and was constantly asking for updates and pictures and Ivy never got the slightest bit frustrated or annoyed. When I picked up Levi I saw all their GSP's and witnessed how well they manage their dogs and what good care they provide. Levi is a very healthy, beautiful, loving, and playful dog. I could not have asked for anything more throughout this process. It has been great. Levi is perfect.
Submitted by: Dylan Mecher on Jan 06, 2013I picked up Adler at 6 weeks and he has just turned 9 weeks yesterday. He's an outstanding dog so far! He's smart and has picked up basic commands easily. He's also great looking, he's everything I hoped for and more. I am glad I went with wirebridge kennels and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a gsp. The Willoughbys kept me up to date on the pup with pictures until the day I picked him up. Two thumbs up for wirebridge kennels!
Submitted by: Erica Stephens on Dec 02, 2012We were looking for an active, energetic new addition to our family. We found the perfect German Shorthaired Pointer at Wire Bridge Kennels. We brought Toby home in August 2012. And I'm happy to report that he's loving, healthy and bright. Our entire family has fallen in love with him. Thanks, Ivy!
Submitted by: Cory Henson on Nov 16, 2012Growing up with GSP's all my childhood, when I decided to purchase my first dog this breed was the only one I considered. However, I was somewhat picky with what I wanted in a GSP. I was dead set on finding a sold liver female. I found little Boa on the website here and contacted Ivy immediately. She was very prompt to call me back and speak freely with me about their entire operation at Wirebridge Kennels. Two days later I went out for a visit and as soon as I saw the pup and the love she was already getting I knew I wanted her. The Willoughbys were very kind and accommodating to all me requests. As much as I wanted to due to a work obligation I couldn't take little Boa home till the end of the week. They were happy to keep her until then for me which was a huge help. When I arrived to pick her up they welcomed me into their home and took care of everything answering all my questions. The puppy I purchased from them is very loving and loyal, and also exceptionally intelligent...she learns very quickly. She spends her days with me on the golf course running and getting plenty of exercise chasing off geese. She is everything I wanted in a GSP and more. Not only would I purchase another dog from Wirebridge Kennels I would recommend anyone to them to purchase a gun dog.
Submitted by: Erin on Oct 23, 2012Wire Bridge Kennels is owned and operated by a dog loving family. I purchased my liver and white GSP pup a year ago from Ivy.... And I couldn't be more happy with my pick. My pup is smart, fast, loving, has a beautiful point and is eager to please. Not to mention, very healthy. Ivy and her family have kelp in touch via FB and emails to ensure my pup and I were the best fit for each other. She is a wonderful addition to our GSP and GWP family.
Submitted by: Sam on Sep 29, 2012I contacted the Willoughby's in attempts of locating a mostly solid liver female GSP. From the first few minutes of speaking with Mrs. Ivy, I was sold from her southern hospitality alone. I was searching for a breeder that promoted raising the puppies in a positive, healthy and social atmosphere, And a new at this point, I needed look no further. I could immediately tell after the first few weeks of conversations with the Willoughby's that they pride themselves on honestly and integrity and this as well, highly impressed me in comparison to other breeders. In addition, I could request pictures and present questions at almost any time, and Ivy was always glad to respond and with far more promptness than I could have ever asked for. She was willing to describe
as often as you request very detailed appearance and basic dispositions of all the puppies and for over the phone chat, you can all relate, that's not the easiest of things ><. So in receiving such good descriptions and having an ample amount of information to base my decision off of , I was highly confident in selecting a puppy from these breeders and knowing I was selecting a well nurtured and highly balanced gun dog. Bailey is very intelligent, active, and healthy and is learning
all her commands without any problems at all. Shes right on track for her age, and even at 4 months old,
I couldn't be more happy with selecting such a fine dog, bred in such a wonderful atmosphere, from such a fine quality breeder! Please support more breeders like this!
Submitted by: Joshua on Sep 21, 2012When I was looking for a male GPS there were not many litters remotely close to Key West so I came here gundogbreeders to look. I found Wire Bridge Kennels and called them. I talked to Ivy and right away she started to tell me the pros and cons of the breed and since I had a female at the time I told her I know about the breed she then asked me what I was looking for color wise and I told her a liver ticked. She said there was only one in the litter and the woman who was getting him said a deposit check was in the mail and even tho Ivy hadn't received it yet she is taking her word since she likes to see good in everyone and right there I knew I called the right place. I proceeded to ask her what pups were still available and she emailed me about 3 pictures of each pup still available which was alot since the litter came only days before. I then picked out the one that I liked she said once I come up with a name to let her know. Once I decided on duke she started calling him that. Ivy would sent pictures and updates on how he was doing up to the day before I picked him up. When I showed up to pick him up he already knew his name. I am so glad I drove 16 hours to pick up duke from the Willoughby's. When I meet to pick up my pup she said all the pups slept in the house and it shows. My GPS is VERY family oriented and I can't thank them more for that. I am very pleased with duke and the quality of dogs they produce. They still stay in touch with me to see him grow. Ivy even sent me a picture of one of his new brothers. I highly recommend Wire Bridge Kennels to anyone looking for a quality GPS.
Submitted by: Sean Nossaman on Jul 30, 2012My girlfriend and I had been looking for a GSP for quite some time before we came across Wire Bridge Kennels. Out of all the breeders we had spoken to, the Willoughbys were by far the friendliest and most helpful breeders. We were very specific about the things we were looking for in our GSP, and Ivy was honest and very detailed about her past liters and the exact puppy we would be receiving.
Our puppy, Roscoe, is now about 4 months old and more awesome than ever. We've spent a lot of time working on his obedience at a young age, and he has been doing a great job listening. I hope to be able to train him to hunt with me when he's older, and so far he's enjoying the outdoors everyday. Roscoe loves to go out in the water, whether a pool or lake, and run around retrieving his toys.
Overall, the Willoughbys have given us a blessing! We drove over 8 hours to bring home this puppy and would do it again because of the experience we had with the breeder. I've never met two people who have taken so much pride in what they do and making sure that you're happy with your decision. They don't want you to buy a dog just to make money, but to make sure that you actually enjoy the GSP like we do. Thank you!
Submitted by: Will & Neva Gulsby on Jul 16, 2012My wife and I decided to buy our first GSP, Case, from the Willoughbys in April 2012. Fortunately, we live within an hour of their kennels and were able to visit the pups weekly, up until we picked, and then brought Case home. Even still, Ivy sent us pictures of the litter during the middle of the week, every week.
We absolutely couldn't be more pleased with Case who now, at only 15 weeks, is steady to shot when throwing his bumper, easily makes 30 yard retrieves, loves the water, and is also turning into an excellent shed hunting dog. Case is not only a field/gun dog but is also part of our family. His innate trainability and hunting drive have made teaching him everything from finding shed antlers in tall grass to potty training a breeze. We wouldn't hesitate to contact the Willoughbys again if the time comes for another GSP!
Submitted by: Katie Ware on Jul 02, 2012I highly recommend Wire Bridge Kennels. This is our first GSP puppy. We did our research and decided this was the dog for us. I explained to Ivy the type of personality we needed in a dog and we could not be happier with our choice! They were very knowledgeable with each puppy. Baxter is now 12 weeks old and he is a great dog! I have 3 young children and he is so patient and loving with them. He is also very smart, at this young age he has already learned several tricks and commands. In working with Ivy, she was very informative and kept me up to date with pictures while we waited to bring our puppy home. The puppy was a surprise for our children and Ivy helped me to pull that off as well. It is evident the Willoughbys love the breed and take very good care of their dogs and give the puppies the best care from birth until you take them home. We get stopped all the time and people want to know where we got our puppy. If you are looking for a smart, beautiful dog, with a great temperament I highly recommend you contact Wire Bridge Kennels.
Submitted by: Tyler Seeley & Caroline Lee on Jun 16, 2012I'm a college student attending Clemson University and have been a dog lover my entire life. After taking into account everything I like in a dog, I ended up choosing to get a GSP. This was the best decision, hands down. We called Mrs. Ivy right away and before long I had already chosen my puppy, "Coast". Mrs. Ivy was so informative and gave me everything I needed, from answers to pictures daily. She got me through all of the questions and doubts I had from getting my first dog and I couldn't have done it without her. When I went to pick up coast, Mrs. Ivy told me all about her dogs and I saw, personally, the care they have for their dogs. Coast is 10 weeks old now and he so well behaved for a puppy and I know he will fulfill all of my dreams and expectations. I whole-heartedly recommend wire bridge kennels and will absolutely get another GSP from them in the future, if possible.
Submitted by: Lauren and Jason on Apr 05, 2012We had a wonderful experience when working with Ivy and Russell in selecting our GSP. After researching about many kennels around the southeast, we read many good things about Wire Bridge Kennels and decided to email Ivy for more information. We had never purchased a dog before and this was going to be our first GSP. Ivy was very informative and answered all of our questions and gave us all the infromation we needed. She was very patient with us in making sure that we were making the right decision in choosing our dog. She sent us any pictures that we wanted. We drove from Florida to pick him up and she made sure she was there when we arrived and had everything we needed for the drive home. Our dog, Bowden is 6 months old now and we love him more and more every day. He is extremely loving, smart, and energetic. We are looking at getting our second GSP and it will definitely be from Wire Bridge Kennels. I would recommend them to anyone.
Submitted by: Cole Daniel on Mar 31, 2012I have had several dealings with the Willoughby's and Wire Bridge Kennels over the past year and have nothing but great things to say about their kennel. I purchased my second GSP from their last litter and am very pleased with how my pup Dooley is learning and training. The Willoughby's were very helpful in helping pick my pup and were always very friendly. I would recommend Wire Bridge Kennels to anybody who is looking for a great hunting partner or a best friend to hang around the house.
Submitted by: Ted Wilkes on Mar 28, 2012I started searching for our GSP and was lucky enough to start and finish with Wire Bridge Kennels. Ivy was very patient with me as I couldnt make up my mind and would send pictures at my request. As for Bentley our pup, he is by far the best dog we have ever had. He was a suprise for my 9 year old son and they have bonded as only a pup and a little boy can. What I like most about Bentley is that his eyes light up when Ty gets his gun but also is the best family dog. He is a very smart pup and loves to please. I was very pleased with the Willoughby's and highly recomend their kennel.
Submitted by: Lauren on Jan 09, 2012I would recommend Wire Bridge Kennels to anyone. They were wonderful to work with. I had contacted several breeders when looking for a GSP puppy and the Willoughby's got back in touch with me very quickly and were very nice. Once the puppies were born, they sent me all of the pictures I asked for and were very willing to work around my schedule when I was ready to go pick a puppy out. They were always kind and were always willing to answer my many questions. My puppy ended up being the runt and was much smaller than the other puppies. They gave her all of the extra care that she needed and made sure that she was very healthy before letting her go, which I really appreciated. This is my first GSP, but I am now in love with the breed . I would definitely go back to them for another puppy and would recommend Wire Bridge Kennels to anyone looking for one.
Submitted by: Jessie Boykin on Dec 19, 2011I would recommend Wire Bridge Kennels to anyone! When I contacted Ivy and Russel, I had been searching for about a month for a puppy that fit the description my fiance wanted. Mrs. Ivy answered me right away and was more than willing to send me pictures of the puppies. Once I had picke our pup Hank, she made sure that I got weekly updates and pictures on how he was doing. She mad me feel like it was money well spent before we even got Hank. She worked with my schedule on picking him up and when I came to get him he was fully up to date on everything. Also, I am a vet tech and saw that the puppies were in great condition and had an amazing place for them to all be comfortable. If we decide to get another GSP, I know that we will be goin back to WBK.
Submitted by: Jeff Raymond on Dec 06, 2011I didn't have the pleasure of meeting the Willoughby's as "Bree"(now PJ) was a surprise present to help ease the pain of losing my 14y GSP "Patches". But I must say PJ is a wonderful breed, healthy, happy and tons of fun. She was on schedule with all her vacs and is doing great. I would recommend WBK to anyone looking for a top quality GSP. Thank you so much Russell & Ivy Willoughby!
Submitted by: Evan on Sep 27, 2011When I began my search for a GSP I began looking at and speaking to a number of breeders, I gave up my search for a breeder and made an instant decision the first time I spoke with the Willoughbys. They were very knowledgeable regarding each and every pup and had no problem planning a whole day of their weekend time around my arriving to view the pups before I made my selection. I picked my pup up in April and have been receiving comments on a daily basis on how pretty of a dog he is. As far as temperament goes he is wonderful which I believe is a direct credit to the hands on care he recieved early on by the Willoughby family. I have never owned a GSP before but can tell you that I am now a lifelong owner of the breed and will most definitely be a repeat customer of Wire Bridge kennels in the future. I very highly recommend that anyone looking for not only a beautiful GSP but also one that has a great temperament contact the Willoughby family ASAP.
Submitted by: Leslie on Sep 07, 2011I couldn't have chose a better breeder than Wire Bridge Kennels. I am a Vet Tech at a local vet hospital. I see clients bring in puppies & adult dogs that have been purchased from a breeder or on an internet site that r n poor condition or have been exposed to parvo virus. The breeders claim that the dogs are n excellent condition & that they have been fully vaccinated. I can honestly say that I was impressed when I spoke with the Willoughbys. They were familiar with each individual puppies personality & were educated in the schedule of deworming & vaccines. When I purchased my puppy, they informed me that she was not fully vaccinated & that I needed to take her to my vet & have a physical exam to make sure that she was healthy. I am very pleased with my puppy. She is well mannered, loves to swim, ride & is a big part of our family. We have 2 gsp. They r great family dogs & r very protective which means a great deal to me. I highly recommend Wire Bridge Kennels.
