Xtreme Upland Outfitters offers fully guided upland hunts as well as hunting cabin rentals for the self hunter. We are located in west central Kansas right in what is arguably the best Pheasant habitat in the country.

We have a newly constructed hunting cabin with eight beds and two full bathrooms. We limit our group size to eight to ensure an enjoyable and safe hunt for all. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided in the package and will consist of all home cooked country food. A typical breakfast is sausage gravy and home made biscuits, fresh coffee, home made bread, and orange juice. Lunch is usually chili or stew, home made rolls, and one of several outstanding deserts. Dinner will start with USDA Choice rib steaks marinated in our proprietary marinade, biscuits right out of the oven, creamed corn, mashed potatoes and a home made desert. One client recently commented that "The hunt was great, but the food was what convinced me to book again for next year. Tell Katie to put on another batch of chili, I'll be back."

You will hunt with an experienced guide who has been chasing the wily ringneck since he was old enough to cock the hammer on a single-shot 410. Our dogs are top-notch and are an integral part of a great hunt. The hunt will take place in cut milo and corn fields, CRP Grass, and Food/Cover Plots that are specifically designed to draw and hold birds. Our maximum group size is eight to ensure an enjoyable and safe hunt.

$350/Day

Full Service Mixed Wild/Released Pheasant Hunt

$400/Day

• Experienced guide with professionally trained dogs
• 6 bird rooster/hen limit
• Country style meals, breakfast, lunch, supper
• Bird cleaning and packaging
• Cooler for bird transportation
• Lodging in our newly constructed cabin. Central heat/air, two full bathrooms, full kitchen, and satellite TV

Arrangements can be made for additional meals and overnight stays.

Additional meals, or meals for non-hunting guests;

Hunting Cabin For Rent

We conduct a limited number of guided hunts, as most of our time is dedicated to turning out top notch gun dogs. Our cabin is for rent for those who wish to go it alone. There are over 35,000 acres of Kansas Walk In Hunting within a 20 minute drive of the cabin. The cabin rents for $45/person/night with a $100 minimum. The cabin has a full kitchen, flat screen satellite TV, two full bathrooms, and two bedrooms with a total of eight beds. The cabin is easily accessible and is located 2 miles east and 1/4 mi north of the small town of Hanston Kansas.

I wanted to thank you for a great hunt. I really appreciate the way you helped with David. His first pheasant hunt was a great experience that he will always remember. Your patience and willingness to work with him helped make it what it was. I was very impressed with Hallie, she did everything you said and more. Your dogs also added to the experience. The food and hospitality were wonderful. You made us feel like welcomed guests in your home versus “paying customers.” David has been giving his mother a hard time about how good the food was and why she could not cook like that. She told him last night that if she heard one more thing about how much better Mrs. Ruff’s cooking was than hers, he was going to find himself sleeping on the porch. It is all in fun, but we all enjoyed our stay.

We look forward to coming back next year. Sharon, my wife, said she was going to come with us and enjoy a good book in front of the fire while we hunt.
