We are a family owned and operated Upland Game bird hunting preserve, dog training, and shooting facility.

We offer a Premier Colorado Upland Game bird hunting experience in the beautiful Eastern Plains of Colorado. And are located approximately 70 miles Northeast of Denver in Wiggins, CO.

Come join us for an unforgettable and affordable fun filled Upland Game Bird experience that the whole family can enjoy whether you are a beginner, novice or experienced hunter, we offer 800+ acres of hunting. This includes creek bottom, CRP, trees, sage and rolling hills that will challenge some of the best hunters and dogs. We offer hunters the opportunity to hunt or train on a variety of Upland Game Birds (Pheasants, Quail, Chukar, Homing Pigeons) call for availability.

Start & finish your day in our warm & comfortable clubhouse. Upon request, we offer catered hot lunches for our hunters to enjoy. Or feel free to bring your own lunch and enjoy our facilities after your hunt at no additional cost. Gas grill/BBQ available for use by our guests. We also offer a clean house to clean your birds before going home.

Other services available by appointment only include: Dog Training, Guiding, Shooting Instruction, or practice shooting on our 5-stand clay trap thrower. In addition to our traditional 5-stand Trap thrower, we also offer a simulated waterfowl (duck/goose) pit trap shooting experience.

We have teamed up with Mike Weis, LockNLoad Kennel, LLC out of Pierce, Co who provides us with top notch guides and is a top notch hunting dog trainer. LockNLoad Kennel is known for Championship trial dogs, but they are also his personal hunting dogs.

We cater to any size hunting party, whether it's an Individual or Groups. Corporate Hunts also available. We have teamed up with Comfort Inn to accommodate out of state or out of area hunters. Please call for pricing.

Our hunting preserve is one of the closest to Denver. We are located a short drive from Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley, and Denver International Airport (DIA/DEN).

We are open 7 days a week, for Morning and Afternoon Hunts. Reservations are required for all hunts. We suggest at least 1 week advance notice when booking hunts, especially for weekend hunts or any party needing a guide dog for their group.

We have a client hunt every year with Nick at A Plus Game Birds. He set out birds in the morning after a little breakfast for the guys and after the morning hunt he has a great lunch ready for us when we get back to the club house. Then he sets out more birds for us for the afternoon hunt. He has great guides (Mike Wise) with well trained dogs. I also own a dog from Mike Wise and I can run out to A Plus to run my dog anytime and Nick will take care of me. It's a great time and I recommend A Plus for a great time

This is a great place to get out and hunt a few birds. Also a great place to let the dog hone his/her skills. Ive been taking my dog out here since she was 3 months old. Watching a 3 month old pup point out a few bob whites is an incredible sight. Ive been to a few other preserves and this is the most layed back one that ive been to. Nick and his wife Jane make you feel very comfortable and right at home. I would definently recommend this place to anyone that wants to have as close to a wild bird hunt experience as it gets as well as a great training facility for your dog.

A-Plus provides a great hunt experience, Warm up with a round of clays then proceed to the field to experience good flying birds choice is yours, pheasant, chuckar, or quail. Great guides, hunt with your dog or use one of the fine dogs provided at a nominal cost by the club. After the hunt clean and pack your birds at the cleaning station then relax and enjoy the clubhouse.

I have hunted at A plus birds for along time and have never had a bad experience, Nick has became a good friend of mine and you couldn't ask for a nicer guy or better place for the money(very reasonable).I can honestly say its the best place for friendly companionship and training or warming up the dogs.Nick and his wife Jan have a real family friendly place and I would highly recommend them.

Nic runs a quality operation birds are good and fly well. Nice also does a lot to promote getting youth involveed with hunting and outdoors. He also is super friendly and willntake time to visit and swap stories. Overall a top notch operation and owner. I reccomend you visit Nic and try some of his birds an company out.
