I own AT who is out of Shooter and Sister and he is the best all around dog I have ever owned. Most athletic and loveable dog you will ever see. He grew up around chihuahua's and he will let them eat out of his bowl. My wife is not a dog person but she would not take a million dollars for him. Highly recommend this breeder. And by the way he is a hell of a bird dog!

I have been hunting for over 35 years. I have been blessed to have some really great hunting dogs. I was fortunate enough in my early twenties to listen to a wise man tell me to look for a puppy from a proven hunting blood line. These dogs will have it naturally and are the easiest to train. I have two GSP puppies from Dave. They have been the easiest puppies to train I have ever had. They have so much natural talent and ability it is unreal. One just turned a year old is naturally backing, retrieving to hand and holding point for an extended period with no whoa training. My five month old puppy is holding point and retrieving to hand will hunting . They are both natural retrievers. All I had to do is put the time in on putting them on live birds. In the home they are great and both were very easy to house break. Dave is a no nonsense straight shooter that is very passionate about his dogs and breeding program. Both Lee and Dave are what we call salt of the earth people in the south. Give Dave a call and check out his program you want be disappointed.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Lee and Dave have been great! Super happy with our new Female GSP "Harley". Our main reason for a new dog was for emotional support for our son. Totally turned him around. Harley is truly a member of the family. Dave has been working with her on hunting skills and is locking up with solid points at 4 months! He has her gun conditioned as well. I can't wait to hunt her this fall. Beautiful dog too! The Walkers have been great. Friendly, helpful, always available to help. Professional all the way. They love these dogs. No harsh training methods or treatment. They like to keep up with how their dogs are doing. I don't feel like I just bought a dog. Instead it is more like entering a relationship with new friends! If you are looking for a fine GSP Look no further!

Dave believes that genetics is the key to breeding great bird dogs. His breeding program produces bird dogs that are not only great in the field but also have great temperament. They make great dogs for the person who wants a hunting dog or wants one that is compete with. They also make great companions.

My family and I have two of Dave Walkers GSPs. They are absolutely the best dogs we have ever owned. We have a male and a female and both of them are full of personality. They play outside all day and come in and cuddle on the couch with us at night. Dave is a pleasure to work with and loves to get updates about his dogs after you adopt them. You cannot go wrong adopting one of his dogs.

I have owned 3 great Brittany Spaniels, 3 Labs and 7 horses. After hunting over a GSP this fall, we decided to find our own GSP pup. I honestly stumbled on to Dave and it may have been the luckiest find ever! Dave had a litter with a few pups available, but then offered up a little female from a previous litter. My wife was unsure about "another" puppy, which lasted all of about 10 minutes. We have LOVED Jager at home and in the field since day #1. Forget what you hear about the breed. Dave has a pedigree 2nd to none and his training is well planned and implemented.
At 6 months she is waaay ahead of any bird dog that I have owned. I look forward to working with Dave along the way, because he cares!
We wanted a dog that can hunt AND lay on the porch (or couch)! If you want both, don't look any further than Dave Walker's Farm and Kennels!

After 2 months of research I ultimately decided on Dave Walker's Farm and Kennel to get my first German Shorthair Pointer puppy. I had research and emailed many breeders in my area. I wanted to stay relatively in area as this was going to be my first GSP. I think what convinced me to go with Dave was watching his videos online. Something about listening to him talk about the dogs convinced me he was not "just a breeder" but a dedicated enthusiast who cared about his dogs, their genetics, their upbringing, training and future. Of course once I got my boy, Rusty, I was in love with my first GSP. I was so happy with the first one I took home a second one 10 months later!

Dave is a great breeder, trainer, and handler. I originally wanted a versatile hunting dog to take in the field. At a young age, my pup would hold point long enough for me to shoot over when I was hunting. However, since purchasing a pup from Dave I am slowly becoming addicted to field trials as well. Dave takes the time to match you up with a quality pup and he has a wealth of knowledge. My pup is only a year and a half old and has already won an Open Derby and placed in other field trials. Dave's pups have great pedigrees and most of the dogs you see placing at field trials have the familiar "WFK" before their name.

My GSP has a great temperament and is great around my family. I couldn't ask for a better companion.

If you want a quality GSP you need only do two things- check out his website and then give him a call.

I purchased a GSP from Dave @ 1 year ago. I couldn't be more pleased. He is so well mannered and gentle. His instincts are on point.. training with him is fun because he knows what I expect him to do. I got the best of both worlds with him, not only is he part of our family he is my right hand man in the field. Couldn't be more pleased. Thanks Dave

Trixie is an exceptional dog. She has been a wonderful addition to my family. She's smart, loving and active. I can't say enough about how much joy she has added to our family. Dave's great! He is always available to help answer any questions I have. Trixie and I love to go down and spend time with Dave. It is great to watch her do what she is bread for and she has such a good time.

I highly recommend Dave Walker for breeding and training. He knows what he is doing and truly cares for all the dogs. He will help you and your best friend be successful in whatever you want to do.

Having been in Georgia for 10 years with dogs that were already trained finding a new trainer for my new GSP pup was a monumental task. Previous trainers in NC that I used and trusted had either retired or quit training. After much research, asking other hunters and reading hundreds of reviews, I found Dave Walker. We talked and traded numerous emails which lead me to Gray, GA. After seeing the facilities, discussing my goals and doing the initial test to determine if Zeke was ready, I knew Dave was the right guy. My dogs are my wife's babies and she gets the last say in picking the trainer. After our visit she was very comfortable leaving Zeke with Dave. After his eight weeks with Dave, we were very pleased with the results. We received updates via phone, email and videos as the training progressed. After a couple of hunts, I'm certain I made the right choice and will use Dave for all my dogs in the future. Glad to provide additional info and can be contacted at the email address below.

I have a very active Vizsla and was looking for someone to help me train him. After talking to Dave, I felt confident that his approach was what I was looking for. My wife and I did not want to leave Chester with Dave because he is our constant companion. However, we have gone for lessons several times. Dave started with us last spring with pigeons working on the wing to shot. I built a pigeon house so I could practice in between visits. We are now going to start working with quail and retrieving. Dave has been a perfect fit for my wife and me because we can work along with Dave. The training is as much for us as for Chester. I highly recommend taking your dog to Dave.

I called Dave about a year ago and talked to him about purchasing a started dog. He had several young dogs at the time and talked with me at length to get a good understanding of what I was looking for. Finally he matched me up to a dog that I went down to watch work. I purchased the dog and he is fantastic. Last month I took him back to Dave for some refresher training and he tuned up very nice. I highly recommend Dave if your looking for a GSP.

I was hooked on quail hunting after going with a coaching friend of mine. I then started looking for a GSP. I looked all over the north and central Georgia area and finally settled on Dave Walker's kennel. I could tell he knows what he is talking about. Dave doesn't beat around the bush... He tells it like it is. I picked "Sadie" out of one of his litters and she is a "Rock Star" of a bird dog. She has placed in several field trials already and getting better every day. I liked her so much, I went back and got another dog from Dave... "Hank" is only about 7 months old, but points birds like a champ. Dave has been great help. Been many times to his farm and worked the dogs. I highly recommend Dave and his kennels.

I had been looking for a bird dog for about a year when I came across Dave Walker. At that time I wasn't sure what type of dog I wanted. I spoke to Dave several times on the phone before visiting his kennel. He took time to answer all of my questions and explain the differences between the breeds. In the end, I chose a GSP puppy (Rocky) from a recent litter Dave had. Dave told me this puppy had good breeding, but I didn't know what to expect. I was not disappointed. Rocky is incredibly intelligent and catches on so fast. His prey drive is through the roof. Around the house he is a great family pet, even sleeping in the bed with me and my wife, but when we go into the field, he transforms into a bird finding machine. I have been very pleased with my choice to choose one of Dave's pups. At six months of age, I sent Rocky off to Dave's puppy camp for one month. During this time, Rocky was introduced to the gun, and to birds. He was hunted daily both alone and with other dogs, to enhance his natural backing instinct. At first I thought puppy camp was for the puppy, but it turned out to be for me the owner as well. Dave invited me up on several occasions to tag along for the training sessions. I did and was very impressed with the quail course he was putting the puppies through. After I picked Rocky up from puppy camp at the end of January 2013, I have taken him hunting twice in the following weeks since then. He did an amazing job for a 7 month old puppy, finding birds, pointing and even retrieving a few. Having said all this, the best part of dealing with Dave Walker was that he took time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. During training camp he sent me email updates of Rocky's progress, and even sent several video updates. Since training camp has ended, Dave has taken time to talk to me on the phone and give advice, most recently helping me to pick an e-collar best suited to my needs. I would highly recommend Dave Walker to anyone looking to purchase a quality-bred GSP puppy or to have a dog trained. Dave knows what he is doing, he has a passion for pointing dogs and is a pleasure to work with. Thanks Dave!!

My Walker Farm and Kennel GSP (Katie) 9 months, is one awesome dog.
I was looking for a started personal hunter that would also be the family pet. I gave my want list of traits and qualities to Dave Walker. I found Dave to be honest in assessment of his dogs' abilities and potential. Dave matched me to the perfect dog. I have had her in the field numerous times - she points, retrieves naturally, is willing to listen and work close but has the ability and desire to range out when necessary. So good in fact that I am considering taking her to trials.
Katie came well socialized and is great with kids and other dogs. After 40 years of "hunter/ family house dogs" Katie is shaping up to be one of - if not the best. She seems to be the smartest, most willing to listen pup I have seen.
You will not be disappointed working with Dave, he and Lee are friendly, super to deal with people. Their dogs reflect their dedication to quality breeding and training.
