Made the drive to meet John and his current litter of vizsla's in order to pick out our families new addition. My wife and I were really impressed with the quality of John's dogs, not just the litter that we were choosing from, but his breeding vizsla's. The look and demeanor of these dogs were incredible and it's easy to see why John's vizslas have a solid reputation.

My husband and I just visited Sweetwater Ranch to pick out our new pup. We couldn't be happier. The McTighe family was wonderful and the dogs couldn't be more beautiful and friendly. My husband and I are very excited to bring our pup home in just a few short weeks!

My husband and I were looking for a quality breeder for our girl Cabela. John was professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable! Him and his family took such great care of her during the breeding process and I am so thankful for that! Paws crossed that we will have beautiful puppies from Rebel Rouser Sage and Cabela Rose! Thank you for making the process so comfortable and treating our girl good while she was with you! Hopefully we are posting puppy pictures in June!

We bought our new Vizsla puppy Penny 7 weeks old from John McTighe. She's a healthy and energetic pup that looks to be a promising hunting dog. The McTighe family are wonderful people that take great care and pride in their dogs. We highly recommend these breeders if your looking for a great hunting dog. Thank you for the new addition to our family.

Emma, who I commented on earlier has been to only 3 field obedience and bird training sessions so far. The trainer has never seen a dog with such a strong drive towards birds. She can sit at a window for hours just in the hopes she will catch a glimpse of a bird landing in the back yard! She retrieves beautifully, stalks, and points already. She is still a work in progress but at 5 months I can see how she will be field ready by 8 months of age! If you want a true hunting dog that is great for families too, you cant go wrong with a Sweetwater. Oh, and she/he will get a TON of attention when you bring them out in public.

We have had our Vande for 7 weeks now, and we are so in love with him. He is a beautiful animal and true to breed standard. Also true to breed standard, he is intelligent, loving and playful. John was great to work with; kept us informed from birth to pick up, very friendly and nice to work with, and most importantly really cares about his dogs and his pups. Vande is tops in his class at obedience training and we can't go anywhere without people stopping to ask us about him. We couldn't be happier with our breed selection, choice of breeder and our puppy Vande.

We just received our new pup on Sunday March 2nd. Based on the reviews and conversations with John we purchased Emma having never seen her. Having seen so many pics of Vizsla pups we knew what to expect and yet we were, and still, are blown away with how sweet and intelligent Johns pups are. She came fully equiped with collar, leash, crate, cropped tail, dew claws removed, and all shots through 6 weeks. This dog is to the breed standard in every way. Very affectionate, alert, and surprisingly confident. Its only been 1 week and she is already pawing at the door to go outside and after 4 days was beginning to retrieve dummy birds. If you dont want attention from strangers asking about your dog, dont buy this breed. They are so beautiful its hard for people to just pass by. John took the time to not only make sure we were a good fit for each other but he also checks in on how things are going afterwards. A sign that he really cares about his pups. We couldnt be happier. Oh, I forgot....Emma is a huge hit with the ladies too. Certainly a mark in the plus column! Thanks John we are in love.

We picked up our 2nd Vizsla from Sweet Water over the summer. We have a 2 1/2 year old female and a male puppy. We went back for the male because we were so impressed with our female. John and his family invested a lot of time with these puppies and it showed. The dogs are a great fit for our family and we couldn't be happier. If you are looking into getting a Vizsla I recommend going through Sweet Water.

John McTighe of Sweetwater Ranch was a pleasure to deal with. He even kept the pup and extra week for me because I was unable to pick her up at 8 weeks. I believe they put together a great combination for a hunting line. The female pup I have found her first wild grouse at 3 1/2 months and shows great drive and determination even in thick cover. If you want a Vizsla to hunt over Sweetwater Ranch breeds good ones.

It was a rough start with Gunner. He is one head strong pup. Had to teach him who was boss without breaking his spirit. He has now settled down and is just wonderful. He is teaching himself how to hunt and stays on point for about 25 seconds. He is so smart and we can't wait to see what kind of a hunter he turns out to be. He is a house dog and is part of the family. He listens pretty well in the house but exceptionally well outside following all commands. John has a great breed of Vizslas.

Wow what a fantastic experience John, April and Family have given us during our introduction into the Vizsla world. On March 16th we met and took home "Riggins" our wonderful new addition to our family. John has done a great job in putting together a great combination With Sage and Josie. Riggins is now 11 weeks old and is potty, crate and several commands deep into his training. everyone we meet comments on how beautiful and well behaved he is. I think he has met 12+ other pooches in our neighborhood and probably 100 people old and young. I will post some video on you tube under ATE2QTR and or New Middletown Ohio Vizsla. Thanks again John!!!!!

Sincerely

Sage and Josie are both beautiful dogs. When i brought out a pheasant wing all the puppies responded well to it. It was very hard to pick which puppy, they will all be great hunters. They will all make excellent bird dogs. He will make a great addition to our family, I can't wait to start to get him out in the field he has so much natural ability.

We have been searching for our third vizsla in 25 years for our family pet and hunting partner. John McTighe & April (and family)@ Sweet Water Ranch have put together a great combination to develop a great family pet with just as great a gun dog. Both Josie and Sage have great temper and have contributed to Johns pursuit for a great gun dog to hunt with. Our 7 week old puppy is a female vizsla. The liter (born may 16th) included 5 females, and 2 males. We traveled quite a distance and were rewarded with what we believe is a great match for our family. As I start with this puppy my memory takes me back to my first vizsla which I MOLDED to my expectations and needs. And my hopes for a great hunting partner are renewed.
