Dagger just turned 6 months. What a great dog! Talk about the three B's, he has them all. Beauty-- his markings are so distinguished. Brains-- he is at the top of his obedience class and the instructor loves him. He learns so quick, it is unbelievable. Bird sense-- Everyday he improves as in his ability to hunt. Love him!! To bad Dave is out of the business of breeding. I guess I got the last of the best.

The Gordon Setter is unlike any breed I've owned before, smart, willful - almost a force of nature. But also exceedingly loving, full of life and energy and possessing a delightful sense of humor.

I drove over a thousand miles round trip to pick up our pup from Kournate, one of the best decisions I've ever made. Absolutely fantastic dog.

We just celebrated Riley's 4th birthday. She is a wonderful family pet. Loves to ride in the boat and swim in the lake. Does not like to be in the rain and she doesn't like pontoon boats going past the house (barks like crazy). Sleeps with us at night, doesn't like her kennel. She is a wonderful dog.

Got our second Gordon from Dave in July of 2012 and he is amazing. Great hunter, family dog and is Goofy as all get out since he is a Gordon. Mosby has been a great addition to our family and when we are ready for another we will be heading to Kournate Kennel again! Thanks Dave!

The most intelligent dog I've ever been around. Marlin is a machine!!!! One of the best dogs I've ever seen on pure natural hunting ability. I haven't taught her a damn thing!!! She is teaching me!!! Great breeders because they love their dogs. Great dogs because they are beautiful, strong, eager hunters and gave impressive instincts. My 10 month old pup shows hunting ability that excel his age. He's got a brought future as a hunting buddy and is a great friend at home. I run a huge school and my Kournate Gordon Setter is the most popular figure on campus. I thought I would wait until Brodie(Murry x Zoe) turned a year old to give testimonial. This dog is great hunts like a machine, very intence point, great drive on grouse and woodcock of northern Wisconsin,ranges good great nose and he just has it (awsome to watch in the woods). At home he is great with my 2 year old daughter letting pull his ears and tail without a fuss. I would highly recomend one of Daves dogs as he does his homework when comes to breeding and will help you with any questions you have later.

What an excellent breed of dog. After buying our pup I spent some time with Dave in the field training. He is very committed to this breed of dog and has really done his homework. I consider the Kitzs' to be very reputable and honest. Our dog has been an awesome companion in the field with incredible hunting instincts. He is great on point and retrieve and just loves the water. he is also a very loving family dog that love to snuggle at night. We couldn't be happier.

Picked up a puppy in December of 2007 and we could not be happier with the dog. As far as hunting, she is very birdie, points at a regular basis and has no problem with feathers in her mouth or retrieving. Inside the house, she is housebroken and well behaved. She is good with children and other dogs. She's a sweetheart! Dave was very friendly and a honest breeder. We will definitely be buying another puppy in the future! We highly recommend this breeder for a hunting dog!!!
