Frank has been an amazing trainer, and friend. As a first time upland hunting dog owner, I really needed help and guidance. Frank has educated me, and trained my dog at each step of the journey.
Amazing progress, my 1.5 year old dog is a blast to go out with and every hour pays off with Frank.

Thank you Frank.

My kid likes him too!

Being a first time bird dog owner Frank was godsend in helping me and my Brittany (Ruger). His training system was amazing in not only helping shape up Ruger but most importantly in training me of what the heck I should be doing. I'm also looking to get one of his pups this year. Thanks Frank

I have two female Griffons. Luci 2 years was trained at another location by a retriever oriented person who was too harsh for this breed. JYNX 1 year went to Franks puppy camp at 10 months and was a completely different agenda based on a quiet positive reward based approach. JYNX was ready at the start and after dual training field exercises both dogs were ready. This season both no nonsense dogs have achieved over 32 hard honored points. Out of the field they become the happy funny lap dogs and pets. I would emphatically endorse Frank and Hun Hill Kennel

Second testimonial here as I now have two of HHK's dogs, one who is now five and one who is around one and a half.

Once again, Frank's breeding led to an unbelievable field dog who can do an easy 30+ mile day, range out to 400+ yards (unusual for Griffs in my experience), honor other dogs and be steady as can be. On top of all this, she has proven to be a better waterfowl retriever than most labs I hunt over, including labs that I have owned in the past. While I've spent significant effort training her, I watched in disbelief when she successfully executed a 100 yard+ blind water retrieve on her third big water duck hunt.

She's also great with my kids (infant and 4 year old girls) and great around other dogs. Truly part of the family.

I couldn't have asked for a better dog.

I cannot express enough how pleased I am with my decision to attain a Griffon from Frank and Lisa. Boris aka Hun Hill Hogan is now 20 months old and has been what I dreamed of when searching for my first hunting and versatile pointing dog. Frank and Lisa make sure their pups are properly socialized and introduced to the sights and sounds that a hunting breed requires to be successful in the field. Boris has been a demon out hunting these past 2 seasons. He has a lot of drive and is fearless when it comes to busting through heavy cover. He ranges out to 350yards and holds his points steady until I get there. He has taken to training very well. He earned a Prize II 105 score at 12months of age last May. In the home he is well behaved and gentle and was easy to potty train. I started leaving him in my home uncrated for several hours at a time at 14months. I have had Boris back for training with Frank last year and will have him out with Frank again this Spring to help me polish up some of my training with Boris and build a foundation to start Boris on the quest for a Prize 1 on the UT test. Frank is very helpful and open to a call when needed when I have had training questions.

My husband and I purchased a puppy from Frank and Lisa 2 years ago; she is a fantastic hunter and all around wonderful pet. I was most impressed with the compassion they feel toward the puppies, and importance of matching the type of dog to the pet owner goals. They genuinely care and are always available for questions and concerns. You will not be disappointed!!

Four years ago, we finally decided to get a dog to be able to start bird hunting again after 40 years. We did a lot of research in trying to decide what type of dog to get and came up with the Griffon. It was definitely the right decision.

Then the big decision on what breeder to go with. We were willing to wait for the right breeder to get the right puppy. We spoke with a number of people about their dogs and kennels and decided that Frank and Lisa were who we were going to try to get a puppy from.

Chena is now 3+ years old and is awesome. She loves to hunt and is also a great family dog. She hunts close and works hard at finding the birds. She wants to please. She is a natural.

If you are looking for a great dog, contact Hun Hill Kennels, talk to Frank and you will be sold on where to get your dog. If you have any questions about Hun Hill etc. please feel free to shoot me an e-mail.

I spent two years researching Wirehaired Pointing Griffon breeders in the US and Canada, then another year waiting on a pup from Hun Hill Kennels and I want to tell you it was well worth my investment in time. My pup is now a year old and might well be on her way to being the best bird dog I've ever had. I visited Frank's kennel this fall, spent a couple of days hunting with him as he had my pup in traing for several months. As a veterinarian, I'd say the care and dedication he gives his dogs are unsurpassed. As a trainer his knowledge of the breed and their capabilities are remarkable and exemplified in his final product. I traveled 1700 miles to find him and it was worth every step of the way.

I've known Frank and Lisa Puccio owners of Hunhill kennels for 17 years. I've watched their breeding and training program grow into a first class operation over the years. Frank talked into my first Griffon a little over three years ago. I've always had labs, I'm truly thrilled with Carolina Breeze. Frank has helped me attain a Jr AKC Hunt Title, A Prize 1 NA and and a Prize 1 UT.
If you're looking for a breeder that hunts almost daily, trains weekly and studies blood lines and testing scores. Look no further. Frank owner of Hunhill Kennels is the real deal. He has always breed for the strongest hunting lines possible. I asked for the hardest headed most driven dog in the litter. Be careful what you ask for. Lol. Frank delivered exactly that.
I've been very happy with my decision to purchase a dog from Hunhill Kennels.

My first experience with a Hun Hill Griffon was my only experience with a Griffon. She (Judy), and her owner, provided me with insight into why they are dubbed the gundog supreme, and why Frank Puccio's kennel and expertise with hunting Griffons is unparalleled. I don't settle, nor skimp--I'm the kind of woman who needs the best of the best, and that's why I contacted Frank.

My girl, miss Hun Hill Eberle-Jane just hit 13 months. She has trained here and there with Frank, and with other trainers who were astonished by her natural ability, drive, and intelligence. She continues to amaze me everyday, both as a companion, and in the field. She has been pheasant hunting, grouse hunting, and I am excited to get her in the water to go for ducks. She (of course) points, creeps, stays close, and retrieves. She is still an energetic puppy of course, but at this point, she does everything I expect her to. She is simply the ultimate and I couldn't have asked for more in a bird dog.

Frank and Lisa have set the bar very, very high, anyway you cut it. They offer their knowledge, willingness to help, insight, and overall have been a tremendous resource for me and Eb. On a more personal note, Frank and Lisa are absolute gems of human beings who feel more like family than "the people I got my dog from." It's always a pleasure to see them. I cannot foresee the day I'd ever so much as consider working with anyone else other than the Puccio's.

Scout, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, 2 yrs

Hun Hill Kennel is the place you're looking if you want to hunt your Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. We narrowed our search rapidly from six down to one after meeting Frank and Lisa, seeing their dogs, and realizing they take the hunting of this breed seriously, and that breeding is all about producing great hunting dogs that are also great family companions.

After 30 years of having dogs, this was our first hunting breed, but our pup scored well in his NAVHDA Natural Ability test (108), and has also shown his ability in the field while pointing quail and chukar, and just this week retrieving his first couple of ducks. As others have stated here, Frank and Lisa are also great resources, and have made themselves available to answer any and all of our questions prior to and after getting our pup. Frank's knowledge of both bird hunting and dog training have been invaluable, not only in providing assistance to those of us lucky enough to have one of his pups, but in giving him the experience necessary to produce top quality dogs for the field and home.

I'm on my 4th Griff and my first from Hun Hill. I could not be happier with our new puppy, he is off to a great start. At 6 months he is heeling, whoaing, and pointing strong enough that we are moving on to steadiness training. In South Dakota at 5 months he successfully pointed and retrieved multiple wild roosters.

My last Griff just earned her NAVHD VC title this summer, and I can honestly say the new puppy is way ahead of her at this age! Finally, we just received his PennHIP scores and they were awesome.

Thanks Hun Hill for a great puppy!

Having owned my fair share of gun dogs in the past, I can confidently say that Hun Hill Kennels is the best I've ever experienced. Part of my income comes from guiding wing shooting so making an investment in a good dog is a no-brainer--good dogs make safe hunts and happy clients. I personally found Frank by way of the bloodline that he has--I owned a male WPG from the same bloodline. My now three year old female has been everything that was promised and more--a perfect score in her NAVHDA Natural Ability test, a downright phenomenal drive and biddability that I didn't know existed and "off switch" outside of the field. She is incredible around kids and toddlers, mellow in general while in doors and an extraordinary field dog in both upland and waterfowl. If you're looking for a great WPG both in and out of the field, Frank is the man.

Frank and Lisa raise and train some of the best griffons around. Their dogs are very intentive to the training, hunting and as well as family companions. I highly recommend HUN HILL KENNEL!

I can not say enough good about Frank and our pup Ella. This pup was to be my sons first hunting dog, I did a lot of research to find the correct breed to fit him, and also finding a breeder and trainer that was honest and produced what we were looking for.
Ella is far and above all we hoped for in the field and in the house, and Frank has been fantastic to work with and teaching my son how to handle and get the most from her.
I could not be more satisfied.

We received our pup Finn two years ago and cannot say enough about him and Frank and Lisa. Finn is a bird maniac and excels in the chukar hills. He is everything we could want in a dog and a treasured member of our family, not to mention he is a darn handsome griffon.

Finn is our first dog and I cannot say enough kind words about the training advice Frank has given us along the way. We purchased not only a heck of a dog from a great line, but an excellent mentor as well. Great kennel!

Frank's Griffs are truly exceptional. My male griff is now a year old and is already a fantastic all around gun dog. He is very trainable, loves everyone, loves every dog he meets, very playful and good natured but a serious hunting machine. He is the perfect balance of family dog and gun dog.

I am excited to own my second Hun Hill Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. I feel fortunate to have Frank and Lisa as a resource and appreciate their continued involvement as they watch the training and family relationships develop with their pups. Extensive time is spent by Frank and Lisa evaluating their pups to insure that each new owner has the qualities they desire. I asked for bold and driven pups and I have not been disappointed with my two Hun Hill Griffs! My "Lucky 13" pup shows great prey drive and is bold and confident. It will be fun to watch her develop to be a driven hunting companion. I know that Frank and Lisa will be following the progress of both of my Hun Hill pups and be as excited as I am with their hunting and training success.

Frank is the top notch in breeders. I spoke with over a dozen before I found Frank in my backyard. Buying a dog from him was one of my best decisions I've ever made. He not just a NAVHDA registered breeder, he actually tests- this is something that I didn't run into often enough. He won't breed the Sire unless she tests at least 108 or better (112 is top) He takes his breeding so seriously it's comforting.

He's there to answer any and all questions you might have and address any concerns that might arise. I met with Frank in July and could see this was the breeder for me, he's got a professional kennel that's got AC, dog runs and even an easy chair to lounge and talk to the dogs. Hun Hill Kennels is a kennel I'd recommend to anyone.
