French Brittanys make excellent bird dogs. They grow to about 2/3 the size of Border Collies or Springer Spaniels and weigh 30-40 pounds on average. They are excellent pointers and retrievers, and also make great active family pets. We have found that they are eager to please, train easily, and travel well.
