Kannier Wirehaired Griffons - Wyoming Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Breeders

I live in Pinedale, Wyoming in the heart of some of the best waterfowl and grouse (blue, ruff and sage) hunting in the country. I have owned several breeds of hunting dogs and fell in love with the Griff after hunting over several years ago. I was wanting a “do all” breed that wasn’t bouncing off the walls and running in circles just to run in circles. On my journey to locate the perfect Griff (took almost 2 years), every owner/kennel I talked with had the same thing to say. They are calm, close hunting dogs who live for hunting but just want to be loved and hate being left at home alone. The more I heard that, the more I was sure I wanted a Griff. My life revolves around the outdoors. We live at the base of the world famous Wind River Mountains and Wyoming Range, with some of the greatest Elk, Antelope and Deer hunting in the world. The untapped beauty of this area is the unlimited bird hunting. The summer is spent camping and fishing right out our back doors, then August is spent scouting elk and deer. Once big game tags are filled it’s right into birds though winter. I'm not a breeder/kennel, nor do I plan on breeding again. Everyone has that one dog in their life that they know they will never forget or top. For me, that is this dog. I”m breeding her as I want another one of her to hunt with as I truly have no complaints with her. If I could stay married and keep the litter, my 5 yr and 7 yr old and I would love to. I really wanted to find a large defined stud with the same relaxed personality as my female had. I contacted multiple kennels and had a great time talking to Sean at Broken Bow Kennels and we went with his amazing stud Fitz. The whole family loaded up and drove to ID and we were completely sold on Fitz as the perfect fit to make a awesome gun dog litter. Griff's have become a very popular "pet" for their general demeanor, and for that reason I will only let these pups go to hunting families. The happiest I have ever seen our dogs is when they are bringing a bird back to hand and for that reason I do not want this natural talent to go to waste with a non hunting family.
