Great breeder, great bloodlines. Our puppy is pointing staunch on planted birds already at 4-5 months. She holds steady until flush and comes on the whistle. Her pedigree is of course top drawer but it's a pleasure having a such a biddable puppy who I expect will some day become an expert gundog.

Brian and his family have been such a joy to work with. I feel lucky to have been chosen and trusted to welcome one of his pups into my family. First of all, Brian has excellent communication skills. From the moment I put in a puppy deposit, to the day I brought the pup home, I received constant updates along the way. He was always quick to answer the questions I had, and provided many useful resources along the way. He provides an extremely detailed contract, that clearly lays out the responsibilities of both the owner and breeder, when making the decision to bring home a pup. This contract is upfront and leaves no room for ambiguity, which gave me the confidence that Brian was putting the best interest of his dogs first and foremost. When it came time to pick up my pup, Brian and his family welcomed me into their home and provided me with a lot of important information. They provided me with records of vet checks, vaccinations, micro chip records, and AKC registration paperwork. I even had the chance to meet their dogs, and watch/help in a hunting training session. When I left their home, with my new pup in hand, I knew that my life had just changed for the better. Mateo (Sonnet de Santos), is almost 9 months at the time I'm writing this testimonial. He has developed into such an intelligent, handsome, and curious dog. He has had no health concerns, and is loving life in Alaska. Mateo will begin his bird dog training shortly. Besides hunting, Mateo is an incredible adventure companion. He loves to both skijor and bikejor, and loves to swim in the ocean and streams. Mateo has climbed mountains with me, and does great camping out in the backcountry. My next goal is to get him comfortable riding in a kayak and packraft! He is a high energy and highly intelligent dog (as is his breed standard). He requires consistent and daily, high intensity exercise. Additionally, as a working dog, it is important that I provide activities/training that are mentally stimulating and challenging for him. He does great meeting/playing with other dogs, and lives harmoniously with our two cats in the house. At the end of our days though, he loves to wind down and pretend that he is a lap dog. I can't thank Brian enough for his commitment to providing and developing healthy and high quality French Brittany companions. More importantly, I love that I can watch the rest of the pups from each litter grow up via the Santos Bretons Facebook page and community!

From the first phone conversation w/ Brian to the time we picked our puppy up at 7.5 wks we had a an exceptionally good and fun experience working with Brian. He has a very well written contract that answers a lot of questions/concerns. Weekly photos of each puppy in the liter were posted for us to select the male of our choice at week 6. Regular Vet checks were also conducted on the puppies. Upon arriving at Brian’s house in Eastern Wash from Alaska we were invited in to meet Brian’s family and very well mannered French
Brits, including the mother of the liter. It was very obvious the entire family is involved w/ the well being of the puppies and they love doing it. We were provided w/ shot records, vet check reports, micro chip info and a bag of misc items including some of puppy’s current dog food. Day 2 of having our new puppy and I’m quite convinced we made a great choice!
