Andrew got me the dog of my life, here to thank him for that. The contact and care pre-selection was fantastic with weekly you tube clips showing each pups growth and progress. Made it a lot of fun (and a looooong 8 weeks of waiting.). I was torn between two pups and Andrew put the right one for what I hunt most in my lap.

Gritty is a pleasure in the house and weapon in chukar country. Runs at 350-450 yards with an unmistakable nose and otherworldly tracking ability. Since he started hunting at 9 months I've yet to see him break, even on birds he can see. Gets as close as possible and no closer, repositions with ease. Honors other dogs naturally. Three years old last season and now common for him to hold a covey for over 30 minutes while slowly I climb up to him. The kid is pure joy to hunt behind.

At home, he's got a fantastic off-switch and takes nighty training drills like it's fun. He wants to work and loves to please. An aside, his coat makes cleaning him up after a rare day of pheasant hunting easy, as he's harsh and dense and doesn't get many burrs anywhere except his beard. He's hunted ducks a few times and seems to love water retrieves, but we don't hunt ducks too much these days. Too much fun watching him run open country.
