I'm an avid hunter that had my first bird dog in 1974 out of great field trial breeding. She was a great hunter with an even better personality that sold me for life on the English Setter breed. I would spend the summers as a young boy on my uncle's ranch helping him train field trial dogs which is where I obtained my love for and the understanding of well-bred gun dogs. Currently, I have two AKC Master Hunter Advanced titled English Setters. They were the first two ES's in AKC history to have received the MHA title. I also kept a male out of my first litter who is working on his Master Hunter Title and has turned out to be a fantastic companion dog. I also have competed in NASTRA trials and field trials.
I am not a professional trainer or breeder but I do breed occasionally to perpetuate the line of great setters that I have come to love. Sunrise Sunsetter MHA is a direct-daughter out of 11X HOF CH Tekoa Mountain Sunrise who I have bred to one of the top setters in the Nation (Rapidan -Winner of the National Chucker Championship, Saskatchewan All Age Open Championship, Pacific Coast Championship, and 2X Qualifier at the Ames Plantation National Championship).
I currently have three English Setter puppies available and I'm taking deposits for a future litter.
