After reaching out to many different Weimaraner breeders, I found Meredith at Southpaw and knew immediately she had what I was looking for. Her dogs have smaller frames, typically 55lb-65lb, which for what I hunt (grouse and woodcock) is perfect. He’s been pointing since the day I got him at 8 weeks and can track better than any dog I’ve seen. Him temperament with both people and dogs couldn’t be any better. And if you’re looking for style, I’m yet to have someone watch him on point and not make a comment about how great he looks. Southpaw Weimaraners is raising the bar thanks to Meredith with her knowledge and passion for the breed.

Meredith has worked comprehensively to build a strong Weimaraner Breed into one of the best vestal hunting breeds in America. Her breeding has sparked an interest in European breeders to build a strong breeding program for the next generation. It is very obvious with many owners who are knowledgeable in training the breed; Meredith’s line immensely reap the benefits of many awards and prizes. There are a few Weimaraner Kennels out there that breed for profit and have little concern of the health of the pup after the sell. Not Meredith, she is not breeding for profit! She’s breeding quality pups to promote the Weimaraner legacy, to include donations of pups for dual purpose. Meredith selfless dedication to her pups and to her extended families contributes immeasurably to success for those who are competent in raising a healthy, well trained Weimaraner pup. Her pups have all of the natural instincts a gun dog needs, the rest is up to the owner to hone. I have owned, trained and hunted over Weimaraner’s over 22 years and currently own 2 of her pups, their potential is unlimited. I strongly recommend this breeder.

Meredith is one of the best working Weimaraner breeders in the country.
She cares deeply about the improvement of the breed and is dedicated to producing great dogs with wonderful temperaments, incredible drive and keen noses.
My Southpaw pup is a big runner who just won't quit.
He often leaves my prize German Shorthair in the dust.
Also I can't say enough about his tracking and ability as a swimmer. In the field, he is a retrieving missile and in the water, a torpedo!

Meredith has done an excellent job in matching a pup to me and what I intend to use him for. My Weim is 11 months old and I am EXTREMELY happy with his performance as a hunting companion as well as a member of the family. His temperment is extremely easy to work with and he is so eager to please. Southpaw Kennels provided me with a great companion who loves birds, loves to hunt, and loves to relax at home on lazy days too.
