ROCK HILL BOYKINS - Virginia Boykin Spaniel Breeders

Here at Rock Hill Boykins, We breed quality Boykins for hunting intentions and family companionship. We were featured in the first article written about Boykins by the Virginia Wildlife magazine emphasizing the increasing interest of the breed in Jan/2014. Boykins are very adaptable to any style hunting with proper training and commitment. In return they are eager to please!!! Boykins are generally small and compact. They are great retrievers and flushers. I actually use mine to flush turkeys and retrieve doves. A lot of folks use them to flush woodcocks and duck hunting.  I have the James River practically in my backyard so exposing our Boykins to swimming and enjoying  retrieving dummies helps them prepare for their future adventures. The bloodlines of all my dogs come from solid hunting and health clearance backgrounds,(OFA and DNA). I usually breed to keep a puppy for my own stock to hunt and training.  I'm not much on field trails or hunt tests. When It comes to metal trophies and ribbons(field trails) the game/bounty retrieved at the end of a hard hunting day is our award... My wife and 3 daughters enjoy socializing the our pups by loving and help caring for each new litter. Boykins love to travel and are always ready for the next adventure. They don't want to miss anything!
