From the moment we first connected with Tamara at Smokey Mountain Chessie Pack, we knew this wasn’t just a kennel—it was a calling. We drove all the way from Florida to the beautiful mountains of Sevierville, Tennessee, in hopes of finding not just a dog, but a companion that would truly be a part of our family. What we found exceeded every expectation.

We were welcomed with open arms, not just by Tamara, but by her incredible pack of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers (CBRs)—dogs that were not only stunning examples of the breed but were clearly raised with profound care, patience, and purpose. Our girl Mirah (pronounced Me-rah), also lovingly known as Mystique or Sofia, immediately showed the balance of strength and gentleness that defines a well-bred CBR. She’s confident, intuitive, incredibly intelligent, and, most importantly, deeply bonded to humans—a testament to the way Tamara raises her pack.

As long-time dog lovers and owners, we are fully aware of how unique CBRs are: they’re fiercely loyal, intelligent, independent thinkers, and not always a breed for the faint of heart. I'v had several chessies over the years and found Tamara in several places with puppies for sale. After talking with Tamara, my wife and I decided to make a visit. After meeting Tamara and the wonderful environment that she raises these guys in is a master piece operation. You can tell she takes great pride in keeping them socialized and trained. We have never been happier with any of our chessies like these guys! They are Quality chessies for sure. You should definitely consider getting your chessie from her!! Best decision ever!
