Chantant Epagneul Breton K-3 Kennels - South Dakota French Brittany Spaniel Breeders
About Chantant Epagneul Breton K-3 Kennels
How do I honestly answer the question of "Years in Business". I started training English Springer Spaniels with a dog breeder/trainer/trailer in northern Colorado in 1994. I have continued to train my dogs since that time. As far as breeding dogs, this is only our second litter of puppies. I never had any interest in doing anything by hunting. The best French Brittany I have ever owned was neutered at a young age and I always regreted that decision.
We hunted English Springer Spaniels before owning our first French Brittany in 1997. Since that time we have owned 17 French Brittanys (including our first 2 litters of 11 puppies). After retiring I started hunting much more and field trialing around the country. My breeding stock currently consist of 4 year old male and 4 year old female French Brittanys that are from good French stock. The male has been breed to females from Montana and Washington in addition to last years litter and this current advertised litter. Both breeding dogs are OFA hip rated. We also have 2 other females that are 1 1/2 years old and 1 year old plus a 1 1/2 year old male from the first litter that has a great disposition. I would consider selling the 1 1/2 year old male to the right hunter. He hunted last year in MT, SD and OK.
I am currently President of the Regional Northern Plains Epagneul Breton Gun Dog Club in South Dakota and also on the Board of Directors of the National Organization Club De l'Epagneul Breton of the United States.
The next litter will be next year.

Norman and Judy couldnít have been more helpful or open with us as we got Nitro. I donít feel like we just bought a dog but like we made new friends. We got Nitro a little late in life (four months old) and he found and pointed three quail the day we picked him up. He has a great disposition and has quickly become one of the family. I would highly recommend Norman if you are looking for a French Brittany pup.

I purchased a male pup from his first litter. It's been the best decision I've ever made in my life. Marc and I hunted 67 days together before he was a year old.. We downed over 200 wild (pheasant/hun/sharptail) birds all on point. I saw well over a thousand points before he was a year old! The talent at this dog has is incredible. I can't wait to buy another one. Blood lines matter gents. Norman Pope is a passionate breeder that I will do business with again. 5 stars and a tip of the hat to you Norm! Well done!

Norman and Judy are great people and as honest as they come ! I bred one of my females with there stud dog Buddy last year and had a large litter of beautiful healthy pups. I would use Buddy agin in a heart beat . Chantant buys and sells proven dogs and Norm goes out of his way to make sure that the puppies he's selling are a notch above. .
