Camkota Spinoni - South Dakota Spinone Italiano Breeders

We have Ripley (Laine x Orie) from Camkota Spinoni. I can't say enough good things about Mary. She kept us posted throughout the entire process with lots of update and photos and answered the many questions I had. Since he's come home with us, she's also kept contact and continued to advise us. She did a fantastic job with the litter. Ripley has been awesome. He's great with our kids and has done well with obedience. His hunting instincts are very apparent, and I am excited to hunt over him this fall. I highly recommend Camkota Spinoni!

I can't believe I didn't post a comment before. We have a puppy from the Milly/Fonzie 2013 - Life Isn't LIke in the Movies (Zeppe). Mary did the most amazing job in the first 8 weeks of the puppies lives. Zeppe was raised in her home which much love and attention and it shows. Zeppe knew "sit" and could stand in a stack that she used for the many pictures sent before we met our boy in person.
Zeppe is beautiful and we are now beginning to show him. I can count on Mary for any silly question I have to prepare Zeppe and myself. She follows her puppies progress and is always willing to give guidance.
I would recommend Camkota without reservation. Who knows, we might want another of Mary's amazing babies! Thanks, Mary for our wonderful boy!

We received a pup from the August 2013 litter, aka the "movie quote" litter. Mary was very helpful and answered many of our questions as we embarked on this journey of choosing the perfect dog for us. My sense was that Mary put a lot of thought into making sure the owner was right for the pup, and vice versa. We took our boy "I'm your Huckleberry" to the vet within a couple days after we got home and the vet was thrilled to see this breed walk in his door, and gave him a great bill of health. He is a GREAT Spinoni! We have gotten so many compliments on both his looks, and his temperament. Within a couple weeks he was sitting, shaking, and kenneling up. Very playful dog, but very calm also considering he is still a "small" puppy. We were/are very happy with our experience with Camkota Spinone, and give Mary and Stu our highest recommendations.

We have a puppy from the Milly/Fonzie 2012, litter (Aldo) He has been a wonderful addition to our family. He loves everyone he meets! We wanted a dog that would be an active member of our family. We are involved in conformation, hunting, obedience competition, and pet therapy work with our other two Spinone and wanted our new family member to do the same activities. He has fit in perfectly. We are very pleased with him! Mary and Stu have been very supportive and they regularly check in to see how Aldo is doing. We would definitely get another puppy from Camkota Spinone. Our Spin (Cami - True Grit) has been with us for 14 months. She has grown up with an adult German Shepherd (Charlie), and they are absolute brother and sister. Cami is sweet, smart, friendly, loving, and probably most important; she listens. She learned commands at such an early age, more early than any dog I have ever had.
From what I've heard from her sibling owners, is nothing but positive.

I had the good fortune to get my "Pick of the Litter" from Mary and Stuart Campbell. I was so impressed with the early start their puppies get. The puppies being raised in the home also meant a lot to me. My puppy, "Dude", (Spinone Italiano) is loving as well as beautiful. He is 14 Months old now, very smart and doing well in his Obedience classes. Mary keeps in contact with me regarding my progress with "Dude" and I love that! In March 2012, I had made contact with Mary at Camkota about potentially getting a puppy from her litter out of Milly and Fonzie. I could tell immediately that Mary was a very conscientious breeder and her utmost concern was to find the best possible homes for her pups. We shared numerous phone calls and emails to ensure we were on the same page in terms of what both of our expectations were in bringing a new pup into the family. I appreciated Mary's openness and knowledge and her love for the breed was evident. In May 2012, I picked up our first Spinoni, Camkota's American Heart aka "Valentino" from Mary and Stu and was able to see first hand what a quality litter of pups she had raised as well as the care she took in the planning, preparation and health testing for the breeding. She provided a wonderful "puppy information package" which was personalized with photos of each pup and filled with valuable information for everything from grooming tips to feeding and training. I have maintained contact with Mary and she has been an incredible resource in providing support and information for any questions or concerns I have. I would highly recommend Mary and Stu as breeders and credit them with giving Valentino the best possible upbringing a puppy could ever hope for! Valentino is a joy to live with and has grown into a healthy, intelligent, loved member of the family :)

My personal experience with Camkota was wonderful. I would definitely puchase another Spinoni from Camkota. Mary was great to deal with. There were updated emails and pictures almost daily and when I went and picked up my little girl Gabby, Mary had food/pictures/toys/blankets for our trip home. She even had a goodie bag for me.
