Alla Festa Spinoni - South Dakota Spinone Italiano Breeders

“Alla Festa” translates to English as “At the Party” This party began in 1995, when we met our first spinone in a local parking lot. Attracted by the rustic appearance with the incredible eyes, we just had to approach the owners to find out more about this dog breed we had never seen before. Owner and dog were travelling through Western South Dakota on their way to a pheasant hunting adventure. We were totally captivated by the kind, gentle, intelligent good-humored dog, with eyes that conveyed the wisdom of the ages. Shortly thereafter, we brought home our first Spinone, and a love affair with the breed began. Our dogs are family, live in the house, and share life fully. We participate in dog shows for championships, compete in obedience and rally, and work in the field for both hunt test titles and as companion hunting dogs. We dabble in interesting dog sports – whatever pleases the dog – and build a strong and loving relationship between us and our Spinoni. Our dogs are purpose bred, with full attention to the breed standard, temperament, health and hunting traits. We are passionate about this breed, and dedicate our time and love to preserve the wonderful Spinone Italiano, with respect and knowledge for its Italian heritage. Welcome to Our Party!
