About Coast Bound German Shorthaired Pointers
For more than 15 years, breeding bird dogs has been our heartfelt passion. It is a blend of art, science, and unwavering commitment that has deepened our appreciation for the bond between humans and dogs. While it is both thrilling and challenging, breeding purebred dogs also demands significant time, financial resources, and can sometimes lead to heartbreak. Nevertheless, our primary goal remains focused on enhancing the breed rather than merely boosting its population. Raising quality is our passion! We take great pride in breeding exceptional genetics, providing both working and non-working homes with the finest GSPs and Boykins. Our breeding program is dedicated to producing dogs with superior genetics, ensuring exceptional performance and stability. Each of our dogs undergoes comprehensive socialization and desensitization. We assess the aptitude of every puppy to ensure they meet the specific needs of their future families or working environments. All of our breeding dogs boast excellent health records and exhibit outstanding temperament, making them reliable and adaptable companions. The puppies come with unlimited AKC registration, tails docked, dew claws removed, first round of vaccines, and routine de-wormer. At Coast Bound, we believe that every great dog starts with great health. That’s why all of our dogs are OFA tested (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals). OFA testing goes beyond surface-level appearances. It ensures our dogs meet the highest standards of health, so you can feel secure knowing you’re adding a strong, healthy, and well-bred dog to your family. All sires have completed DNA testing that are relevant to their breed. These include: Cone Degeneration (German, Shorthaired Pointer Type) (CD), Von Willebrand Disease II Acral Mutilation Syndrome Coagulation Factor VII Deficiency, Degenerative Myelopathy (Common Variant) (DM), Exfoliative Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus(ECLE), Lupoid Dermatosis (LD), and Hyperuricosuria (HUU).
