Being a family man one of the things I breed for is that you and your family enjoy our Labs, the 99% of the time, you are not working or hunting them, and that they are part of your family. I breed them to have a calm temperament and good looks. Some of our lines have the natural pointing instinct in them.

My family recently bought a puppy from the Coot/Ink litter and we couldn't have designed a better dog. He is incredibly patient, eager to please, and a perfect field/home dog. He's got a leaner frame, and narrower build than most labs, which I actually really like about him. He's very agile, and performs exceptionally in the field. He's my first hunting dog I've ever trained, and attribute a lot of his ease of training to his quality breeding. Might be picking up another dog from Chris in the near future.

Chris Hoffman is a trusted breeder. We bought our female yellow lab in 2004. We raised her in California. She was a dynamic swimmer, loved the beach, people, & other dogs. We loved her like our kids. She was our best friend. We have retired back her in Salem Or. & are thinking of purchasing another lab as a companion for my husband with cancer.Chris would be our first choice. He is the best.

Very knowledgable and experienced breeder. Very helpful with tips on training and food choices. The puppy we got was very well taken care of, up to date and then some on all shots and worming. Our puppy is now four and half months old. He is healthy and smart and has a great disposition. These are well bred puppies through careful selection and I recommend Duckflat Retrievers as a respectable breeder.

This is a class act breeder. He is not a uppy mill he is the real deal. Extremely knowledgable in breeding and specifically labs. Beautiful dogs and great lines. Fantastic communication via email or his cell sometimes instantaneous. Dont just look at the website not much there call and talk to him. He is great and even great support afterwards. Our puppy is 12 weeks old and super smart. went to puppy training class and well there was nothing to train he didnt already know. He even has pointing in him. I highly suggest Chris as your breeder choice. I went to twelve different breeders and websites and phone calls and spent three months before I chose him. Even came with non restricted AKC paperwork.
