One of the Best German Shorthair Breeders in the Country. Why? Because they have dedicated a great portion of there lives to the care, training and improvement of the GSP. Have both (Dean and Patti Gooding)been serving as officers in local and National German Shorthair Pointer Clubs for years. Not only do they breed Great dogs, but they stand behind there breeding, and guarantee the health of there pups. They are a wealth of information and willing to share it with prospective purchasers of there pups.
Pups are all microchiped, dewormed, first shots, and checked by vet before leaving to new owner.
They include food, collar, lead, food and water dish, a few toys a blanket with Mama & littermates Scent. And a plethora of articles concerning the health of your new pup.
My pup "Duke", is amazing, his intelligence and superior natural ability, are testament to there breeding program. If your fortunate enough, to be accepted to purchase, one of their dogs, you are lucky indeed!

Chehalem Mtn German Shorthairs are incredible. Our German Shorthair is perfect in every way. We named her "Myah" meaning Great one, she is the daughter of "Raven and "Cody" she was born Sept 23, 2008. Myah is a beautiful Liver Roam & Patch. Myah is enduring, loving sweet and has a gentle nature. She has an incredible williness and desire to please. Sometimes its as if she is training us, or waiting patiently by for us to give her the right command. Myah's desire to hunt is seen daily. At not yet one year old she found our cat that we were worried about and couldn't find. I can not imagine life without our Myah.
Chahalem Mtn. Kennels left us in awe, the pride in their Kennel and their dogs is understandable yet understated, The Love they devote to their dogs and puppies is amazing and outstanding. The Goodings are exceptionally supportive and offered us excellent advice and were helpful in the materials they offered in helping to make the transitions easier for puppy and new parents.
We get so many compliments about Myah, how beautiful she is and we proudly let everyone know we got her from Chehalem Mtn German Shorthair Kennels. We cannot Praise Dean and Patti, their kennels their loving care and devotion to their dogs , or our beautiful Myah enough.
When the time is right to have Myah bred we are confident that Dean and Patti will be their to help us with any questions. We value their honesty, love and devotion to the dogs they've bred and their off spring.
Myah goes for her first hunt this weekend, free of any training collar, She never has needed one, nor have we been tempted to use one. Myah's a quick learner, her instincts remarkable. My husband and I just had to learn the commands. We're learning together and what a companion, hunter and friend we have in Myah. Thank you Dean and Patti it won't be long and will try some competitions, Myah will do great we already know she's a Champion. - Vicki & Charlie
