About Cascade German Wirehaired Pointers

We have enjoyed hunting and living with GWPs for over 35 years and raise one to two litters a year.  As a veterinarian, I support the CHIC program for testing breeding animals and personally like an animated athletic dog with a great nose and the ability to use it.  Cascade has been the home of three very special wirehairs (NFC/NAFC/DC Cascade Rogue, MH, NAVHDA UT, 2xNAFC Cascade Steamer, MH and 3xNFC/NAFC/DC/AFC Cascade Ike, MH) that hold 8 national championship titles.  Proudly they are in many GWP pedigrees around the country today.

The best dog I ever had the pleasure of hunting with, and just being with, came from your kennel.
My brother in law Gene & Jane Carpenter bought a bitch GWP in 1993-94. She had a litter at their home in Post Falls, Id In1994. I got one of the males..Bandit. We raised & trained Bandit in some of the best pheasant country around: Colusa County Ca, known for its Rice & Ducks.
Bandit died in 2009, his last point & retrieve, was in 2008.
Thank you for making it possible for me to have owned the most magnificent dog I ever knew.

I bought a pup from a one time litter that I named Gus. Gus was a direct descendant of Cascade Rogue. and Cascade Steamer. He was undoubtedly
the best Wirehaired Pointer I have ever had the pleasure to have as my hunting companion. He was loyal, gentle, alert, and above all was a natural bird finder, pointer, and retriever at the age of 5 months of age. I, and my wife have been trying to carry on his line for many years with remarkable results.
