My son and I each bought a pup from Carpenter Corner Wirehairs 2 years ago and couldn't be more pleased with them. They had a large litter to choose from so that made finding the coat color, wire density, and sex of the pup easy.
We were able to take a few picks out in the yard and watch them play with each other, and got some insight on which ones were aggressive, nonaggressive, and which were showing good noses.
In the field they both are all business, hunting machines. Never quit or show signs of tiring. We go, they go no matter what and look at us like we are nuts when we call it a day. And they throw hard points, locked up tight. No end Chucker dogs and jump in anything pheasant dogs. Brush, water, no problem. Rocky bluffs, straight up rocky hill sides, they go. All they want to do is hunt. Our kind of dogs!
Our wives love them just as much as we do, they are part of our family.
My wife and I are looking to get another one in a couple months.
