I got one of the pups from the first litter of this pairing, a small black female named Betty. Now approaching 3 years old, Betty is 55 pounds of pure muscle and an absolute machine as a gun dog. I have been very pleased with this dog's intelligence, work ethic, and prey drive. Betty is the first lab I've owned and it's been an absolute pleasure to train her. She's a great house dog, wonderful around people, and an exceptional hunter. She is one pass away from obtaining her HR title and I could definitely see her getting her HRCH in the future. Her retrieving skills are great... Marking and memory is very strong and she's a team player when it comes to running blinds. She really shines in the upland field as well. She works close and has a great nose. She reliably throws strong and stylish points, which really makes those birds that hold a lot of fun to walk up on. All in all I think Betty is probably the best dog I'll ever own, and I think the pairing of Cruz x Molly is a big reason for that. If I could convince my wife I'd probably get another from this final litter.
