Harvest Meadow's Sporting Dogs LLC - Ohio Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Breeders
About Harvest Meadow's Sporting Dogs LLC
I breed, show and hunt Wirehaired Pointing Griffons. All of my dogs and puppies come with AKC registration The parents of my puppies have appropriate health testing done. All puppies are up to date on all Vet care for their age at the time they leave. They are microchipped and registered. All puppies come with a health guarantee. ALL PUPPIES are born and raised in my home, handled several times a day. Puppies are exposed to loud noises, kids, babies, people, walkers, strollers, all sorts of things that may seem odd to them once they leave. They are also exposed to all sorts of environments to get them used to climbing or being placed on sturdy objects so they learn balance and footing. (These things may not seem important but they truely are) All in getting them prepared to be a well rounded family pet and a dog that will excel at being a superb hunting or working dog. I compete and title my dogs in many fields and areas, from confirmation (AKC, UKC, International) hunting, obedience, rally, barnhunt, dock diving, scent work etc. Puppies depending on the time of year as they mature spend lots of time outside exploring my 5 acres and 1 acre pond and various other activities. They start crate training while they are here and generally have some understanding on potty training and house ground rules as well as manners.

We purchased our Griffin in 2012, Darby. She is an awesome dog! She is such a great family dog and hunting...people beg to hunt behind her! It's so amazing to see her go from loving and cuddling to in a split second turn in to such a scrapper searching for birds. Darby has a great nose. We love Lisa so much as a breeder that we just put a deposit on our second Griffon for Darby to help train.

We got our dog "Petra" who is now Briley from Lisa about two and a half years ago. She is extremely intelligent and the biggest lover ever. I could not have asked for a better dog she fit into the family perfectly and she is just so affectionate. She is a great listener and training her as a pup was nearly effortless. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a German Wirehair or Griffon her dogs are amazing and they are all extremely friendly. You also get plenty of chances to visit with the pups and weekly pictures of them before you pick your fur baby up which I always looked forward to.

I just bought a new German Wirehaired Pointer puppy from Harvest Meadows and could not be more pleased with her! She is incredibly intelligent, good natured, and athletic. Lisa at Harvest Meadows was so very helpful- we will certainly stay in touch with her for advice our the puppy grows. On a scale of 1-10 our experience has been a 20!! Thank you Harvest Meadows!

I couldn't have asked for a nicer dog. I got Jasper from Lisa when he was 8 weeks old. I had to have hip surgery a month after he came home with me. He went back to Lisa for training and board until I could care for him which was after 2 months. He came back trained, affectionate and I could not imagine how lonely my house would be without him. I don't hunt so I decided that he and I would compete in rally for fun. He now has 2 rally titles and we are working on our third. I highly recommend Harvest Meadows for training or purchasing.

My family and I found Harvest Meadow Sporting dogs on gundog breeders in mid 2011. We wanted a German Wirehaire Pointer and Lisa was expecting a litter and invited us to come out and meet with her and the dogs. We were greated by some very friendly Griffons German Wirehairs as well as Griffons. We spent about 2 hours talking and being educated on both breeds. We decided to leave a deposit for one of the puppies which were due in 2 weeks. While we were there we also visited with the Griffon puppies which were 5 weeks old and all spoken for but one. After our 3 hour ride home and a big family discusion we called the next morning to ask again about the Griffon puppy. Needless to say we had to make a trip back 4 weeks later to pick up our Molly. We had wanted 2 dogs when we started our search but decided at that time to get one and wait a year or two for another. Well that was a good thought at the time but we kept our deposit with Lisa for one of the German puppies. We must of been crazy getting 2 young puppies within a 3 month span. We love them both and have stayed in contact with Lisa who is easy to talk to and is willing to give training advice always happily. I would recommend getting a puppy from Harvest Meadow's Both of our dogs were easy to train and just the greatest personalities. Both Molly and Abbie are a wonderful addition to our family. We hope we will have these 2 for many years to come but hope when it is time to get a new dog Lisa is still breeding them.

I couldn't be happier with my GWP I got from Lisa. At 4 months old he was already finding birds and loving it. He has been a natural at everything I have done with him. He is a beautiful smart dog. I bought him mainly as a family companion and a hunter. He has turned out to be even more then I ever expected. He is a lover, loves to go everywhere with me and we have now been on 2 out of state hunts and he is a detrmined hunter. Although I did not get him to do any confirmation showing he turned out so nicely I decieded to show him and he finished his AKC championship just befoe 2 years.
I have an older setter when he passes I will be looking to Lisa for another GWP puppy.
