I recently worked with Jeff to refine my GSP's steadiness and ability to "hold" until after the shot. My dog had a strong natural instinct to chase as soon as the bird took flight. Jeff focused on building steadiness, ensuring LJ would hold her position even with the excitement of the flushed bird and the sound of the shot.
By the end of her training LJ was holding until after the shot. It was a game changer for our hunting experience.
