Acquiring a puppy from Kata Miller of Cave Canis Kennels was a straightforward and enjoyable process. Kata participates in both NAVHDA & AKC hunt tests as well as confirmation shows. Her goal is to produce wirehaired vizsla's that excel in the field and meet the breed standard. After a phone call, we first met at a NAVHDA Foothills Chapter testing day. Her dog scored a perfect 112 points for a prize 1. I wanted a dog from a proven field line. The fact that my puppy's mother was invited to the Westminster Dog Show was a bonus. These dogs are well bred and have all the potential one could ask for.

Her comprehensive breeding program includes medical and genetic evaluations as well. Before breeding all dogs have hips, elbows, eyes evaluated. Genetic testing for canine hyperuricosuria (HUU) is also done.

Kata is a very well rounded breeder. Her dogs are champions in conformation and hunting competitions. Her home and animals are all very well maintained. Her dogs are part of the family and well socialized to children, other animals and many forms of stimulation. She was very kind and communicative throughout the process of reserving and picking up our puppy. We purchased Blue puppy April 2023 and placed a deposit before he was born so we were able to experience the whole process pre-whelp. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a Wirehaired Viszla.

In a lifetime with dogs I have never found a breeder with more knowledge and dedication to producing the best possible puppies. Kata Miller is exceptional. Our puppy was already crate trained and sleeping through the night when we picked her up at nine weeks of age. She had already been introduced to bird wings, live birds, sounds of gunfire, and water to swim in. She knew how to sit when asked. Our pup has zero discomfort when we hold or rub her paws, turn her on her back, or pretty much anything else we can think of.
