TAILFEATHERS Wires - New York German Wirehaired Pointer Breeders

I am an enthusiastic Pheasant Hunter! Three years ago I searched for the best German Wirehair Pointer I could find. I bought a female pup from Dark Star Kennel. I named her Lilly. She is a Prize 1 Natural Ability and a Prize 1 UT dog this fall. Lilly is first generation KenVospet with Rimrock on her mom's side! Lilly performed well with just positive reinforcement. Lilly has gone to North Dakota last two falls and absolutely surpassed all of my expectations. I wanted one versatile dog that could handle both land and water very well. Lilly loves to train and her water work. We go to North Dakota for three weeks of pheasant hunting.  I am planning to breed Lilly as I need additional "dog-power" to hunt 15 straight days. It quickly became obvious that Lilly was a better dog than I was a trainer and we joined Navhda to get help so that Lilly could reach her potential. I am a foot hunter; Lilly hunts terrain appropriately. It really is true if you get a pup with a lot of potential as characterized by the parents; training, Navdha testing and the pups progression become fun. Lilly has her own room with outdoor access to a large kennel when we are not at home so she can exercise. She has her own furniture for hanging in the house and sleeping inside at night. She likes to stay close enough to have one of her humans touching her at virtually all times. Lilly Medical: Hips were OFA good, Throid checked out okay and DNA tested "Clear" for  Type II von Willebrand's disease!  Plans: 2014; I anticipate that Lilly's pups would be on the ground first week of May and be available about 4th of July!--if all goes as hoped. My hope is that all pups would go to hunting homes and those participating in Navdha. I would like to see all of the pups tested in Navhda Natural Ability Test. Stud Dog: It is my intention to breed Lilly with Gabe of Schwarzwald Kennels. Gabe is a UK import that has thrown some great looking pups that are demonstrating their abilities with Prize 1 scores in Natural Ability.  Gabe has nice flat tight coat and he tends to throw this and his calm demeanor to his prodigy.I have high expectations for this litter and the pup I intend to keep.
