We chose QCK (Quail Country Kennel) because Joel was a thoughtful communicator from the very beginning, and we had meaningful conversations about his dogs, my background and experience, and our mutual expectations. I could tell he genuinely cared for his dogs as family members, and I felt I would receive a lot of ongoing support once I purchased one of Joel's dogs.

We have now purchased TWO GSPs from Joel, so that may pretty much say it all. Our experiences have been universally positive. If we could have more of them, we most likely would!

Our girls are gorgeous, well-tempered, superb hunters, cherished family companions, and much more. I can’t say enough about them.

We are excited and impressed with how healthy our little guy is. He has transitioned so well to his crating routine, our existing mature dog, and his hygiene. The process has been enjoyable. We love our new addition and highly recommend this breeder for their attention and care to their dogs. We picked up our dog at their home and the transaction was also warm and enjoyable. Great for families in the Albuquerque area.

I would recommend Joel and his wife to any family considering a GSP. Quail Country Kennel went above and beyond when dealing with the puppy before and after the transition to our home. The love and care they put into their puppies shows through and through. Very easy to communicate with and always willing to help. Wonderful breeder and people all together. Very thankful and pleased with our boy Boomer!

We would highly recommend Joel Edwards as a GSP breeder. The puppies he raises are not only good looking, they are healthy and well socialized. Our puppy is extremely sweet and also very playful. She came to us very happy. You can tell Joel and his wife take very good care of all their puppies. They are also very kind and easy to communicate with regarding the puppies before they come home. We would ask for photos or updates and he would quickly respond. Joel and his wife met us in Las Cruces when we came to pick up our puppy making it easier on us due to the shorter drive. We couldn’t be happier with our puppy!! We love our Daisy girl!

We picked up our GSP puppy yesterday from Quail Country Kennels and could not be more pleased. It has only been 24 hours but she has fit in like she was born at our house. To start she slept for 3 hours while we drove home. Once we got home she instantly started playing with our Golden Retriever. She slept through the night and has not cried at all. Quail Country Kennels does a great job breeding and raising very social and confident GSPs.

I had a great experience with Quail Country Kennel. They set me up with my first german shorthaired pointer and so far he has been a great dog. They made the entire buying process very simple and easy. As a first time buyer I had many questions and they answered all of them with ease. Quail Country Kennel also met me at a halfway point to make the drive easier on me. I could not be happier with my experience with Joel Edwards and with my Puppy. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking into GSP puppies to contact Joel Edwards and Quail Country Kennel, they will set you up with a great dog and make your whole experience a lot less stressful.

Our family has been considering a new GSP for several years. After having two GSPs from the dixieland blood-line our extensive research led us to Joel Edwards and Quail Country Kennel. Joel's breeding program and rearing techniques are outstanding. Our puppy, Lady Sadie (DOB 10-14-16), was potty trained and virtually crate trained the day we took her home. Sadie was accustomed to being around other dogs, adults, and children. She is a wonderful intelligent animal with a great disposition. Sadie is inquisitive and not in the least bit skiddish or fearful. She is an awesome hunter and the best swimmer we have ever had. Sadie is great with people and other dogs and has been a joy to be around since day one. Separation anxiety is not in our dogs vocabulary. She loves being in cars, trucks, boats, on docks, and most of all in the field or woods. Sadie is bright eyed, healthy, and strong. She is also incredibly beautiful (we know because people tell us everyday). While our dogs many positive attributes are part of the characteristics of the breed, we are convinced that Joel's breeding and rearing techniques have a lot to with how well his german shorthaired pointers learn and adapt as they grow up in a new environment. In closing, we must simply say that if you are looking for a GSP that is great fun to have around and train, we could not recommend Quail Country Kennel more highly AND if you decide on this breed, get in touch with Joel Edwards. There is no way you will be disappointed.
