About KDK Hunting Brittanys

Some of the best pedigree you will find with some "old school" blood as some might say, mixed with some of the best pedigree today!

We haven't ever done any of the field trials in the past simply because of our passion to just hunt with our dogs. However, we plan to try and geting into the field trials a little bit more if our schedules will allow us to. We feel that with what we have in pedigree currently that the mix of both NSTRA and ABC Field Trial dogs that you're going to get some of the best quality dogs out there. By partaking in those trials we will not only get our dogs out there, but most importantly will be improving the breed of the Brittany.

Dash's sire is 11x NSTRA champion McCandless Titlest Driver and dam is Bull's Lil Peaches. Some of Dash's pedigree includes 32x NSTRA HOF Nolan's Last Bullet, 7x NSTRA HOF Tuminki's Cribb, 7x NSTRA HOF Rebel's Heart of Texas, along with many other NSTRA champions. Val's pedigree which consists of mostly American Brittany Club and some NSTRA dogs, has 9 ABC HOF dogs which include Aux-Arc's Mark, Gun-Runner's Far Out Scott's Gingerbread Lady, Beans Blaze, Renegade's Kansas Kid, Gringo De Britt, Reeds Bo-Nine Max, and Ban-Dee. We're a family that loves to upland hunt, loves this breed not only as hunting partners, but as part of the family. We are based out of Southwest Nebraska, which currently has some of the best bird hunting in the State. These dogs hunt on wild birds from the opening day to the close of the season not missing a weekend of hunting in between.

I have had two dogs from KDK and have had excellent "luck" with both. They have great noses and drive to hunt but have been quick studies with obedience as well. More importantly, both dogs have been great with family and interacting with my older dogs which makes them great companions in the field and at home!

I bought Scout three years ago. He has been unbelievable. From the first time out in the field, he knew how to work and has an incredible nose! To add to his excellence, he has been a fabulous family dog for my young two kids. I continually have people compliment the temperament of Scout. I have also referred people to KDK Hunting Brittanys. I highly recommend this breeder! You absolutely can't go wrong with buying a pup here!!! The way they raise their pups from the day they are born makes all the difference.

I've hunted over these dogs on three separate occasions and they've all been really good dogs. They quarter well and work within range. All seem to have really good noses and lock up hard on birds. I know they see birds all year and get lots of training and work especially at a young age. I've hunted pheasants for over 18 years in South Dakota and Nebraska and have seen a lot of bird dogs and these are some of the best.

I hunted over these dogs within the last 4 months and they are some of the best dogs I have hunted with. They stayed well within range and the locked up hard on birds. Where these dogs are located in Nebraska it is some of the best around, so I know that they get a lot of work with birds.
