R & D Retrievers - Minnesota Labrador Retriever Breeders

Our Wyle is 11yrs old and son of Jumpin Joe. He's was the only pup not clamoring for attention so we picked him for his lack of aggression since Chocolates can be high strung. In reality he picked us.
He's 52lbs and so fast he runs down rabbits and squirrels. We call him a DAT, part dog and part cat. His site, smell, hearing and learning ability are amazing. We always challenge him psychologically and R never disappointed. He loves retrieving the paper, slippers, his toys by color, deer sheds and what ever I ask. He'll even put his toys away. He understands English so sometimes we have to spell around him. He makes me want to train service dogs and can't imagine life without him.

We came to pick out our puppy a year ago. I was asked what I was looking for, and Shown several chocolate puppies. We were not looking for a hunting dog, just a puppy for our grand-daughter who was going through a tough time. I wanted a female. Marley choose us when she was let out of the kennel. Marley is now a year old, and is a certified Trophy and certified Service Dog. She is extremely smart and a fast learner. She stayed small and only weights about 45 lbs. Our experience with R & D Retrievers was very good, and you took the time to help us pick out just the right puppy.

I have nothing but great things to say about R and D Retrievers. Picked up a male black lab from Randy last fall and boy is he a great dog. Everytime someone sees him they cant say enough about his good looks and calm disposition. I wanted a great family dog and an even better hunting dog and I got both plus more. Not only is he the sweetest dog at home but man oh man is he a champ in the field. He is close to receiving his junior hunting title at just 11 months old. I was pleasantly surprised that he ended up being a pointing lab. All in all I couldnt be happier with my pup. Everything from their facilities give a very home like atmosphere. I was impressed all around. I would recommend R and D to anyone who wants a great family companion and hunting dog.
