My son wanted his first hunting dog for his 12th birthday. After considering many breeds we decided on a Kurzharr. We got Gretel from Brandon’s G litter and she has done nothing but impress in every aspect of training. The extra time Brandon spends with the pups introducing them to water and game really shows with her now that we have started her training. From pheasants, quail, and duck drags she has superseded our expectations with each training session. House training, Pointing, tracking and retrieving have come naturally with little guidance needed. She is so easy to train it has made training fun instead of work.

We have had Labs for over 40 years. When my last Lab passed, I started searching for another dog yet wanted something a little different. Still needed a hunting dog to retrieve, and track. In my research, I came across the DK. The more I read about this breed, the more interested I became. Reached out to a few breeders all over the US but instantly connected with Brandon. Read the testimonials from others and felt I could trust Brandon to help me learn more about this breed. Brandon invited my wife and I to his home for a Derby. There was a community of Dk breeders there and what a great group of people. My wife and I learned so much from everyone there. Saw the kennels, met the mother of the pup, and enjoyed the day immensely. This breed has a natural instinct however Brandon does a great job exposing his pups to water early on, and socializing them with the other dogs in his kennel. Fortunately for us Brandon was expecting a litter in April, 2016, so We did purchased a pup from Brandon and that is probably the best purchase we have made. When she was 5 months old she made several perfect retrieves on doves. Since then she has successfully tracked 2 wounded deer and caught a rabbit. Brandon did a great job matching us up with Ella. Since we got her, I reach out to Brandon for advise, tips on training, and general questions. He is always more than happy to help me, give me suggestions, and tips. He stays in touch wanting to know how Ella is doing and from time to time will ask for a picture or two. I can honestly tell you that if you are looking for a DK that will do exactly what you want, plus make a great family pet, look no further than Brandon Rhone. He is a one of a kind and phenomenal at breeding and raising DK's.

Brandon does an excellent job of exposing the pups to water and birds before they go to the owners. The end result of those efforts for me was receiving an "E" litter pup that was pointing and retrieving on water at 11 weeks.

Brandon does a great job breeding his dogs. I received a male DK from his "C" litter. He is 18 weeks old and he is performing beyond his age. He is extremely biddable, eager to to please and he is a wonderful family companion. He points birds staunchly and successfully works rabbit tracks already. This is testament to Brandon's breeding. Brandon is great answering questions and providing test information. We love our pup. My wife wants another one and when I get another DK, I will go to Brandon.

I have a female from Brandon's "B" Litter and could not be happier with her. She is an excellent retriever, very smart, and I can't wait until next fall. Brandon has provided us with lots of information to help properly train our versatile dog and prepare for the upcoming tests. He has training days at his farm regularly to assist with your training as well. I would not hesitate to get another dog from him in the future. Adrian Evertt, Mobile, AL

Brandon breeds excellent dogs. My male DK is turning out to be quite a dog. A true versatile hunting breed. Brandon is also very helpful with training advice and information necessary to prepare for the NADKC tests.
