My husband and I purchased a puppy from a
friend of Marc's in 2008. As a favor to
his friend, Marc transported the puppy to
the Quebec airport for his flight to
Windsor. At the Quebec airport, workers
averred that the puppy was too large to
be transported in his existing crate.
Marc purchased a larger crate and got our
puppy on his way -- still arriving that
same day in Windsor! Marc was on the
phone with us throughout the day,
updating us on his progress in getting
the puppy to us, while my husband
anxiously paced the Windsor airport.
The Breton had landed!
Imagine our surprise when he arrived
almost house broken at only 9 weeks of
age. Turns out that during our puppy's
stay with Marc over the weekend, he had
learned a few lessons on how to impress
his new family.
Marc continues to stay in touch with us
(even though, again, this was not his
litter) and has been invaluable source of
advice, encouragement and humor. He
clearly loves and cares about this breed,
and provides, what we affectionately
call, "excellent service after the sale".

As a New Zealander, it was great to meet this breeder and of course, his Bretons. As a hunter, I expect my gundogs to be bold, intelligent and correct and with this kennel I have found Breton who fit the bill exactly and I had no hesitation in ordering a puppy for whom I am more than happy to wait for. It was also very interesting to discuss the hunting of gamebird species unknown to me.

Deks is an amazing liver tri color from the 2008 liter of Argos and Calynne. He has wonderful confirmation, beautiful markings, a great personality, and an intelligent and inquisitive mind. Marc sent us pictures of our guy as he was developing, and when we picked him up, it was clear that he had been treated as a member of the family - he was a well socialized and energetic puppy who was well on his way to understanding house manners and outdoor behavior. This year, 2009 is his first year hunting, and he knows it is what he is bred to do - he shows great promise and we look forward to sharpening his skills - and ours. We couldn't ask for a better companion - or breeder - and without question will get another pup from Marc. Deks is most definitely a show stopper.
