Whitelail Kennels - Kentucky Gordon Setter Breeders
About Whitelail Kennels
We have been breeding quality field Gordon Setters for 30+ years. We may well have just produced the best field Gordon Setter litter in North American history. The sire is a U.S. National Field Champion and the bitch's sire is a four time U.S. National Field Champion. The five generation pedigree is a who's who in Gordon Setter success and we believe it is the best pedigree litter ever whelped. We can send pictures or short videos if requested, along with pedigrees and a short history of our kennels which is named Whitelail. These pups will be placed in homes where they have a chance to realize their maximum potential whether trialing or hunting. We are expecting a litter in the Summer of this year.........

We got our puppy Augustus "Gus" McCray from Whitelail 16 years ago. Gus has been an outstanding pet and companion. Energetic, curious, and very birdie as a young dog, Gus has matured into an even smarter, stoic, and patient companion as an older dog. Very minor health issues over the years. He's now slowing down, and we're grateful for every moment we still have with him. Thank you Whitelail for breeding a healthy Gordon and allowing us such a long time to enjoy him as part of our family.

I bought my dog Dexter (Gordon Setter) from Mr. Lankford about a year ago, he is now 1 1/2. Dexter is the most amazing (I am very biased) dog Ive ever owned. While my family had owned a Gordon Setter years ago when I was younger this was the very first dog I was purchasing on my own and I was very nervous. By pure design I happened upon whitetail kennels and spoke to Mr. Lankford, whom I actually found from this website. After convening that I only wanted a Gordon for a house dog not hunting I was told he only had one last male puppy which was exactly what I wanted and made the appointment to drive the 8 hours from Raleigh NC to pick up my puppy.
When I arrived I immediately realized that this guy knew exactly what he was talking about when it came to Gordons. I was given an entire book on my puppy ranging from the history of his ancestors to his direct line going back 4 generations. When we left I knew we had everything I was going to need to know exactly what to do with my puppy. While it is not my intention to ever hunt my dog I would absolutely recommend this kennel to anyone that is looking for a hunting dog as I have never trained him to have any sort of bird sense and have been told by quite a few hunters that he has the touch.
My dog is well behaved, great around kids, and most importantly loving. Do your self a favor and take a look at Whitelail Kennel.
